    “Spins” or “passes” ? Didn’t think spinning was practised much in the early swept wing jets.

    The Sabre did a couple of spins over RAF Wyton around 11.30 ish this morning.

    That doesn’t sound like a Merlin 😀

    Sony Alpha Range

    A lot of people are biased towards Canon and Nikon because the Sony Alpha range is aimed at the enthuasist and those new to DSLR photography and because of that they are dismissed as being a bit basic.

    I seem to do alright with my Sony Alpha and there are plenty of models in the range to chose from depending on your budget and there are pleny of lens available, from Sony/Sigma/Tamron, to fit them.

    Just spotted that details of an Enthusiast Tour in December have been added to the NAM website today!

    Unfortunately Coventry Night Shoot that day otherwise I’d have been there.

    Excellent tour and access if you’ve not been on one before.

    All aircraft have been stored for some time and removed from use. All aircraft are considered unserviceable.
    We are looking to invite submission of proposals on the following basis:

    • An outright cash purchase of all 4 x Jetstream Aircraft and associated listed equipment.

    Of these aircraft qty 3 (Tail numbers ZE438, ZE439 and ZE441 are stored at RAF Cranwell, near Sleaford in Leicestershire and qty 1 Tail number ZE440 is stored at RAF Shawbury, near Shrewsbury, in Shropshire.

    Sony Alpha 550. First shot with a Sigma 18-250mm lens. The next 2 with a Sony 11-18mm wide angle lens and the rest with the Sigma.

    The first shot was taken low level with the camera slightly raised off the concrete
