I’m sure Brian is at the best place you can be on a day like this. 😀
Too true Tom. 😀
TB’s Desert Spit, JG891, was flying despite the blustery condition but I’ll post those later.
MH434 was up on jacks and there was no one around, not even a security guard, to ask if I could cross the barrier so I have only got one side covered. PM me an address and I will burn what I got onto a disc and in the post to you.

Brian
Sorry to drag this thread off topic slightly but can someone educate me please. What is the blank with the ‘remove before flight streamer’ above the port wing root? I hope someone will put me out of my misery as I’ll not be happy until I know what I’m seeing.

Brian
Hi Brian,
Hey don’t forget to take another card for the other side of the plane…and if you can go under the plane you need a 3th card. 😀
THANKS MAN!!!!
Tom
Yeah, yeah:rolleyes:
THESE are to low res for what you want, but I’ll have a trawl through what I have taken over the years to see if any fit your requirements.
Brian
A thousand 😮 😮 😮 a whole 2GB CF card.:D
I’ll probably only be able to get one side but I’ll see what I can do 😀 😉
Brian
I’m going to Duxford tomorrow, Thursday. If it’s get atable (is that a word?) let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
If this is any help click News and Links and scroll down to Hanger 3
Brian
Cheers Gents.
It just didn’t look right with that bit on the supercharger sticking up above the top of the engine.
Many thanks
Brian
I actually think it’s quite effective putting it among the Bleriot and WWI types, presumably the idea is to show how far we’ve come in the last near-century.
The very effect I was trying to achieve with the last shot but couldn’t get far enough back to get it all in. I’ll wait until it is hanging and see if I can get it then.
Brian
Heres my wishlist –
CHANGE THE F#@&%ING DATE!!!!!!!! 😡
It is RIAT that brought theirs forward, why should Legends change theirs?.
Brian

WA927 No 56 Sqdn, Broke up on low level run Wyton,Hunts during BoB display.
When my dad came to the RAF Wyton Families Day last year, he mentioned this accident as he was stationed at Wyton at the time and saw it happen, and he said it was an ‘Auxiliary Reserve’! pilot (Weekend Warrior I think he said) and was doing a low fast pass and exceeded the limits of the aircraft and it broke up in mid air. Pilot did not survive.

Great pictures and what a luxury that you can go to Duxford so often.
It’s only 22 miles away, 35/40 minutes on my little bike down the A14/M11 or just under 2 hours on the bus.:D
Thanks for your comments everybody and I have posted some more on my fotopic gallery HERE
Brian
Hi Pen Pusher, I recon you must of had some inside info about that lot flying today !!!!!! Good pic’s anyway ,
Steve
Err, No. I actually had Wednesday/Thursday down as possible days off but as I said, the weather reports said today would be wall to wall sunshine to I took a chance. It paid off.
Daz, I have no idea.
Brian
Thank you for the comments gentlemen but unfortunately the camera DOES lie.
The light levels in the BoB Hall are just as bad as ever. It only looks light as a digital SLR with a 10mp sensor is doing what a DSLR with a 10mp sensor does best. Making use of the light that is available. Exposure time is in the 3 to 5 seconds region, but should be longer but I don’t have a tripod.
I was having trouble trying to frame a subject in the viewfinder, as well, because I couldn’t see it and I was chopping off the nose and tails.
Brian
I rolled into the GWH about 10.40/45 and apart from Ollie, hi Ollie, I didn’t see any one that looked like they were in a forum outing.
If you saw someone with a mono pod, with their camera up in the air, that was probably me. Quite enjoyed the visit, back again next year when the Typhoon is in place.
Will post piccies tomorrow.
Brian
Booogar. Spoilt the surprise with them photos now.:D
Are the upper galleries open permanently now?
