Duxford in HDR
For the last few visits to Duxford I’ve been experimenting/trying out the in-camera HDR function and that’s HDR to enhance detail and not the wacky way out colours that some people think is HDR. Camera takes three images with different exposures, and overlays the correct exposure with the bright areas of an under exposed image and the dark areas of an over exposed image and micro shuffles them so they line up. These are all hand held with high-ish ISO and shutter speeds. Using a tripod would probably have been better.

As noted by DCW on Tuesday, following the engine run of the Nimrod and flight of the T9 Spitfire, a slight change around in the position of airframes in Hangar 3.

Not as much snow as the day before – but enough. A bit slippy under foot in a few places and once the wind got up the wind chill increased significantly.

Just giving the ‘Panorama Mode’ on the Sony NEX-5N a bit of an airing. The day started with bright sunshine and it was raining when I left.
