Unless you pick the currants/raisins out first. :p
Brian
It’s currants/raisins I don’t like. I’ll eat the pastry around them though.
Surprise me. Ooo err Mrs. 😀
Brian
What? no snow. :diablo:

Duxford 19Nov12
Apart from an Apache helicopter flitting about and a load of school kids, another quiet day at Duxford. The OFMC engineers were removing the props from their two aircraft and the Sopwith Camel, and its wings, have migrated from 4 to 5 hangar for a bit of TLC.

Sony NEX-5N on end of monopod by the way. 😀
Brian
Thanks for the offer of a lift but it all depends on how the trains are running, could be the wrong type of wind on the day. 😀
Brian
Having been down south recently, I think a trip oop north is called for. 😀

PS: Don’t like mince pies.:o
great shot of the Sabre. i find this one hard to get a good shot off becouse of the light coming though from behind
One of the advantages of using manual settings. I’ve gone for the slowest shutter speed, hand held, widest aperture and a high…ish ISO to let in as much light to the sensor as I could, hand held.
Another advantage is having a camera with an electronic view finder rather than an optical one. What you see is what you photograph so I can adjust the settings to make the image lighter.
Brian
whats happened to the roundel on the 1/1 spit. Is this the camera?
In camera Panorama shot which was designed for doing landscapes and things like that. Close up it does tend not to get it quite right. You can see the effect also on the leading edge of the Pioneer and the red/white flag on the Provost shot.

Just got back from a trip today. Didn’t take many photos in the Restoration Centre because of the amount of people. It was like sardines and you couldn’t get far enough back to fit anything in.
Brian.
As mentioned by DCW above a Jagpanther Tank arrived from Lambeth today. It was positioned out side the AAM first for a group photo with the Museum movers & shifters before it was off loaded outside the Land Warfare Hall. Although tethered by a cable and winch, it rolled off the back of the flat bed under its own weight & gravity. It did need a push at the end though. 😀

Brian
No HDR. I have the histogram on the LCD screen and try and adjust the settings to get the correct exposure, flat at each end and peak in the middle, but I do have the ‘Dynamic Range Optimiser’ set on Auto.
Brian
The other David.
The Hanriot is a bit hidden away :diablo: and the overhead shot of the Snipe I mentioned.

Brian
– for the Lightning shot did you use a monopod to get the height ?
Err, no. I was standing on the steps that give children access to the Jet Provost cockpit they can sit in.
Brian
I get plenty of practice as I wander around Duxford, as the other snappers will attest to. 😀
