That wasn’t me on the bus. It’s my twin brother. I’m the better looking one. 😀
No photos from me for the moment as my BT land line is down (writing this on a net book) and an automated voice on an 0800 fault line number told me it would take 3 to 5 days to fix. 5 days are up on Sunday.

A very quiet and occasionally wet Duxford today. Many thanks to everyone who let me have access on the other side of the ropes for a few different angles.

Friday 13th Added
Friday 13th.
I was expecting a few school kids to be there, as in the past on the Friday, but not as many as there were. Just getting from Gate B, past the Media centre to the show ground, they hung around in large groups and the word ‘excuse me’ and ‘can I get through please’ seemed to be a foreign language to them. I ended up just barging through scattering them as I went. I even had a few suits carrying brief cases following in my footsteps. Again it was make the best of the static, which is not set out with photographers in mind, so I went low level and high up most of the time. Should have taken my mono pod. On Monday I was down where the Vulcan was parked for some rotation and landing shots and this time I went up to the top end, opposite the Virgin Spaceship, for wheels down approach shots. The Breitling Jet Team displayed instead of the Red Arrows who hadn’t had their validation flight yet. First time I had seen them and was quite impressed with the routine. Although there was a bit more blue sky and sunshine in the morning the usual cloud with rain showers rolled in for the afternoon. Felt sorry for Mark Jefferies in his Extra 330 because as he lined up at the end of the runway, the only really heavy shower that afternoon hit Farnborough and every one seemed to scattered from the crown line to find shelter. The rain stopped just as he completed his routine.

Photos in the order they were taken.

As per usual the static is not laid out with photography in mind. It’s make best of the situation. In the order they were shot.

Flying Legends 2013 – 13th and 14 July 2013
Brian
It’s due home today, so probably not that bad.
Sitting in TFC hangar with prop off.

I was there, although I was in a hangar when the crash happened, and it was announced over the PA system that the show had been cancelled and if any one went to the shop they could have a voucher for another show. There was a lady in high-viz at the A1 roundabout holding up a notice that the show was cancelled as well.

If it does rain, there is always plenty of shelter about 😀

Brian
Not just me then. 😮

If anyone thought tractors were being neglected 😀

Just the one from me. I was at Whittlesford station when the P-38 flew over and the 16.09 train pulled in. It was literally pull camera out of bag, turn on, point and shoot and jump on train as doors beeped to close. Good sync on the props 😀

Brian
Steady boy. Museum opens at 10am 😀

And people moan and complain and wonder why a participents list for Legends isn’t publish until the last minute. If true, a good example as to why.
