What looks like a UAS cadet in the back of the T28 would explain the beat up at Wyton then.
Brian
I was out on my lunchtime bimble when the camo T28 did a very low, nice beat up along the runway and a top side climb out at Wyton today.

RAF Britannia. Left London Airport December 1959 arrived Singapore January 1960. Slow or what 😀
Flew home in another Brittania straight into that nice winter of 1963.

DCW had departed for Old Warden before the Skyraider came out to play during the afternoon. A successful engine test and now awaiting the arrival of the pilot to fly it out sometime next week.

Brian
Just a few more on the Skyraider.

Seen that clip before. Just a bog standard P-38 with wheels splashing through puddles in the Aleutian Islands I think it was.
Didn’t think a TV company would get an aviation clip right did you?.

Zeus wasn’t very well so he went up in his two-seater with the four bladed prop. He did 2 runs taking aerial photos of us and also when he was on the ground. I’d send him photos on a disc but apparently he doesn’t have a computer.
Surprised he didn’t invent one. 😀

Day 3 – 03 Sep11
Thank you for the comments and apologies for the delay in day 3. I got sidetracked with other things and as I’m off to Norfolk tomorrow to have a look around some autogyro’s, I though I’d best get these posted.

What, no vapour?
That’s better.

Brian
What is the problem with parking ?
We went there about three years ago, and there were no problems then.
See Here 😀

At about 16.30 Friday 5th inst, I saw a PBY flying boat, flying directly South to North. Unmistakeable.Over Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Must have taken the scenic route. It was rolling down Duxford’s runway at 14.14 😀

I had not heard about the IWM a/c coming down from the roof at lambeth. I would guess its a check up on their condition as they were restored in the late 80s were they not?
I wonder how complete the spitfires cockpit is.
The IWM Lambeth building is due to undergo a massive £70m+ refurbishment with completion in 2019. Refurbishment of the WWI galleries will be completed by 2014 for the 100th anniversary of the First World War and the Atrium, where the aircraft are hanging, is to be enlarged so everything in there is being moved out.
