Also check this one out (I’m sure I posted this before)

    I should get a coffee

Basically it all started before I was born and when my mum was pregnant with my brother, my parents went to look at the house we eventually ended up in, but before we bought it my mum showed her mum the house and straight away my nan said to mum ‘don’t buy this one I don’t like it’ mum asked why and she said she didn’t know but didn’t like it that was all. So my parents moved in. My mum was the one who started to feel strange things, i.e. an ‘atmosphere in the kitchen, bedroom and landing, and it was always cold and damp (you always here that about ghost stories but I guess its true) my parents used to wake up go downstairs and the lights would be on and they swear they switched them off but things didn’t really get going till I was born and about 1-2 yrs old, basically mum used to hear footsteps on the landing but thought nothing of it, then they would get worse and she would hear it on the stairs too, we were then given a dog by my uncle, the dog used to stand by the door out to the hallway and growl for no reason at all, this used to go on for ages, and it wouldn’t stop, then a year or so later my aunties husband was put into jail for GBH, she came to live with us and she had a son, my cousin who is 1 yr younger than me , basically me and my bro had a bed, and Neil was in a cot.
My dad used to go out every night to the pub and leave my mum and aunt on their own, basically it all used to start at night, they would hear us out of bed, mum used to go up and we’d all be fast asleep, then they would hear us again, my aunt would come up, we’d all be in bed asleep, then they used to start worrying, my mum then got a job working nights, my aunt was left on her own at night, it was only 2 months and she moved out because she didn’t like the house, she would hear all the noises on her own, she couldn’t take any more and she’d had enuff, I could get her to tell her side but she died 3 years ago aged 42.
Then weird things started to happen, between our bedroom and my parents bedroom was a wall which was at least 2 mtrs wide, well mum was working nights and she would get home in the mornings send us off to pre-school, do the housework then have a sleep in the afternoons before she had to go to work again, we used to have attic stairs in our house, well, mum used to dream of a grey haired old lady in a grey gown carrying a candle coming down the attic stairs and enter the bedroom, stand over mum and just watch her, mum could feel it, she used to wake up startled and there would be no-one there, but the strange thing is, she had this SAME dream for 2 years EVERY day she went to bed in the afternoon, we used to have an open pit fire, well pne day next doors house filled with smoke, he called a surveyor out and he came to our house and said we must have another room in the house somewhere, he obtained drawings for the house and pinpointed a room between the 2 bedrooms. Mum and dad still didn’t really suspect anything was up, life carried on as normal but then myself AND Shaun both had this imaginary friend, his name was Tommy Gale, both Shaun and I can still describe him to this day, we both even know what he looks like, knew where he lived, and knew he owned a brilliant white horse, mum used to say we would be sat at the table eating dinner and all of a sudden we would jump down and say ‘gotta go mum Tommy is calling us’ so we would go to play with Tommy, we would be having our hair cut down the road and do exactly the same, to this day Shaun & I find it quite odd that we both knew what he looked like, knew of his horse and where he lived, but bear in mind where he lived didn’t exist in reality.
Anyway things were getting stranger for mum, she used to keep our pushchairs on the landing and turn them upside down to stop us zooming down the stairs on them, mum heard a noise one day so she went upstairs and the wheels were spinning on the pushchair, after this event sometime later she was on her afternoon nap but instead of the grey haired old lady walking down the attic stairs as in her usual dream she was standing by the bedroom door beckoning mum with her finger, mum dreamt she got out of bed and followed her round the corner, when mum got there the woman had gone between the walls between the 2 bedrooms and was a skeleton dead on a little bed in there, after that dream mum NEVER had the dream again, very very strange, anyway enough was enough and we decided to move out and sell, 3 weeks before we moved out mum and dad were settling into bed one night just in that state of dropping to sleep when on the landing they both heard the loudest most blood curdling scream they have every heard, my dad is a large guy, and I mean large, built like a brick wall, and this shook him up so much he froze, but he had to get out of bed to see if we were ok, he describes it as nothing he has ever heard before and nothing human, he is still talking about it to this day some 25 years later.
After we moved out a couple we know moved in with their son who we know well today, they lived there for 13 years and never heard a damn thing, the house we lived in was a terrace house dating back to the 1600’s
Then another twist, when we were about 13 years old some 9-10 years after all this we were at youth club, and a young girl (11 yrs old) who we know, lives in the High Street along from us came to us telling us of something she saw the week before, she said she went to her hallway and couldn’t believe it but saw a grey haired old lady with a candle come down her stairs, me and Shuan looked at each other completely stunned and not believing what we just heard, she had no reason to make it up, she just came out with it for no reason.
Then, in Wotton Under Edge ( a town near us) is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in Britain, has an Inn called The Ram Inn, well dad was watching tv, and this was only 3 yrs ago and a program about The Ram Inn was on the tv, well, where we lived there are big vaults under the road, and years ago apparently it was an Inn too, well in Wotton based at the Ram Inn was this horseman they described on TV called Gale, and he used to deliver beer to the surrounding areas on horseback with a cart back in the 18th century.
Pretty strange huh? Im sure theres more to it but its late and I don’t like talking about it, the hairs are standing up on my neck already.

As true as I am sat here now, years ago, very early 80’s, mum goes in to have a hesterectamy (spelling?) operation, and back then they cut you from one side to the other, recoup was 6 months after in covolescence, me being 9, my brother 11 & sister 3 my dad couldn’t cope with us being so young (bless him) so we all went to stay with my nan for 6 months, so all of a sudden, my nan has 4 more residents in her 3 bed semi, as you can imagine room was scarce, myself & my brother slept in my nan’s bedroom with her (yes she did snore HA), the village where she lives is very very old and is renound for having “weird” activity go on.
Anyway, it was the end of the summer, and I couldn’t go to sleep, nan was snoring, my brother was asleep, it must have been past 1am in the morning, we had a little window open to let in fresh air, then all of a sudden I heard what sounded like drums being played, it was a single drum and it sounded military, it got louder & louder until it passed by the window and then gradually faded into nothing, it was very bizzare and I can remember it as vividly today as I could all those years ago, the village is very remote, it has a few very old pubs but the village was so small that everyone knew everyone and it was certainly no drunk, very odd. I wish I had got up and looked outside.
