Great shots Adam, love the ramp shot with the BMI, Flybe & BAs
Wonderful shots Paul, love the night shots. If I were to buy a camera like yours how much would it cost me? got a link? 😉

Thank you bmi-star, I shall certainly post more when I get them
CKing, the No 3 Hyd system is a backup system to the No 1 & 2 system, in the event of an engine failure (or loss of No 1 & 2 system) the No.3 system operates automatically and powers the Elevators only, when it is on the pump keeps the PSI between 2600 & 3250. We can switch it on ourselves to test it which we do before every flight.

If you’ve flown it and it can be verified I can’t see an issue. The problem comes if it was a while ago and you cannot remember what you did or you are very rusty.
If it was PPL instruction and it was a while ago then I’d be inclined to start the course again, however the hours can still be counted.
If the flights you did were not with a qualified flight instructor then I am afraid you cannot count them, can you give a little more info please 🙂

Fabulous shots Kevin, love the BA & Cathay 744s
Thank you for the comments guys, I’ll post some more when I get the chance to get the camera out again.
I take it you can’t land that Dash 8 at LCY by looking at the sign in the 2nd shot?
James
Hi James
Yes mate we can land at LCY, but we are limited to manual approaches only, this placard is saying we can’t do autopilot coupled steep approaches. There are lots of other criteria too that has to be met, can’t list them here for obvious reasons.
I’m guessing these were taken from an ABZ-LBA from the looks of the route on the ND?
You may well be correct Mark 😉
Next step…Videos! 😀
Noooo, I’m pushing it posting these on the forums, even though you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out the particulars I have refrained from using any “official” quotes etc “just incase”.
There have been instances of videos appearing on youtube that have been frowned upon quite heavy. 😉
After our last sector today we let a little lad onto the flightdeck before his dad pulled him away and told him they had to go, probably ruined his life for the rest of the day. Meanie daddy.
CX returning from her first sortie with the company…..Deano was that you making that dodgy landing??
probably 😀
I must admit, considering she is supposed to be a bitch to land smoothly I haven’t had any trouble as yet, however with the weather turning for the worst tomorrow I have a feeling the pax are in for some bone shaking on touchdown 😀
LOVING this shot Si, terrific.
Ahhh, now that makes sense 😀 cheers for the clarification Mark, the reason I thought Saaber meant the “older” Q400s was because I did hear a rumour they were going to be replaced.
The earlier Dash 8’s have gone? I flew the eldest in the fleet last week, they are all still there.
Also a Dash is arriving every 20 days for the next year, there is plenty of scope for new aircraft. The 146s won’t be gone until early next year & the 145s by April 2009
Yes Eastern fly the Saab 2000
I’m sure there’s an operator of 340s in NZ as well Steve?
Superb pics rab, I love the heavies, the Cargolux is great
