The Vimy will be based at Duxford for 2009:D and then it will go to Brooklands for perminent static display.:(

The Grace spitfire is still based at Duxford but the engineering side moved to Bentwaters which was a USAF base for many years.
Couldn’t he fly a Mosquito T.3 with a safety pilot then?

including the support plane G-AWAH.
Its as simple as that really.
If its just a photograph then other magazines only pay around £10-£20. It seems to depend on how large an image they print.

I couldnt agree more Bump, it seems to me that if it happens anywhere else other than an airshow its fine to ask questions which is a bit of a double standard in my eyes.
Personaly I find threads like these interesting as it shows how far we have come and what lessons have been learned from such tragedies.

Can’t help thinking that if the Tempest/Centaurus airframe represented a potentially reliable and cost effective restoration project, that Stephen Grey/The Fighter Collection would have been one of the first to put one back into the air.
But as they seem to be swaying more and more towards Spiffires and american types is it perhaps more of a lack of spares for more obscure aircraft types that has put them off in the past – or maybe a potentially low residual resale value – or both.?
I think your forgeting that they already have 3 Sea Fury’s!
