Heard it didn’t turn up! Shame that is, she sure looks lovely!

Before you know it, you’ll be sick of seeing it as it will be in every day, not the end of the world! Make the most of the old colours. Once its gone, its gone.

Us staff are allowed to bring liquids through staff security. Are staff at other airports not?

Dont know what would stop me handing over a dealy strawberry youghurt I got through staff secuirity to a passenger :dev2:

I can take liquids through Staff gate here at BHX. Like pax, must be within’ 100ml.

my website has all the info on spotting at BHX….
    http://www.thebhx.co.uk/spottinglocations.html

The viewing field has closed for good…

    Hope this helps

    Hi guys.

I was just wondering if the viewing area beside the car park at Birmingham had been re-opened (assuming thats what they were doing) yet?

I have a week off from uni, but need to do some survey work for my dissertation…plus some aircraft photography 😉 this week.

Hapag Lloyd Express have stopped serving dublin this month, this is a great shame as they gave the place a bit of variety,i’m not sure why they didn’t continue as i don’t think they had direct competition on their service out of DUB,things aren’t looking good for DUB in terms of foreign carriers,Aer Lingus & Ryanair are just too strong, they’ve forced many carriers to reduce their services to just summer(finnair, alitalia) or out altogether (bmibaby,go,air wales). From a spotter/photographer point of view it’s a disaster,a constant flow of ryanair & aer lingus is in store for summer,i’ll be seeing green & blue all day long:mad:

‘Go’ got taken over my easyjet and Air Wales suspended operations!

There is still construction work going on on the taxi way directly in front of the car park. It will be going on for a few months yet. The road way behind the T2 stands has just developed a large kink in it so that the 777-300’s have a few more stands to park on. They can only park on stand 202 (the one nearest the car park) or remote at the moment.

thx for the info mate! much appreciated

Is there still construction on the taxiway there infront of the viewing area? Last time I saw a pic of the taxiway, it was blocked off with a/c taxiing around the back.

    Cheers!

Yeah i drive and I do go to Southside, but when they are on 06, it aint as good in this spot as I like to be close to the action like on 24L!

Is nice to get shots (with good angles) from up the car park. So, would you say that Level 11 is just as good for photos? What about security-wise? Do the airport/security etc mind?

The gold bit ruins an otherwise smart livery.

I actually think that the gold logo looks well smart on that dark red.

More fab pix! Loving the C-17! Really nice a/c, saw one climbing out of BHX whilst at work in the terminal. Looked like it was hardly moving as it lifted! Impressive a/c.
