What will be the AT missiles for the spanish Tigers ? Hellfire, HOT, TRIGAT ( is this thing still alive), or the Spike ?
Hey Matej your site is indeed very nice, any possibility of translating it into english, for those of us non-slovak speakers ? 🙂
You forgot Portugal… One corsair has already been applied Pakistani markings back in the 80 but the deal did not go thru.. Corsairs were also used by Puerto Rican ANG, but these fall under US Armed Forces..
Some photos of A-7P/TA-7P in standard camo plus a bonus of the sole grey painted TA-7P
Portugal retired the last Corsairs in ’99.
BTW, that grey/white Corsair is not a TA-7P, it’s a TA-7C loaned to the FAP between ’82 and ’85, pending the arrival of the TA-7P (which were painted like the rest of the fleet). That particular airplane had the nickname “White Pidgeon” in portuguese 😉
In Portugal the competitors were the Cougar and some Blackhawk version. The EH-101 won because of its greater range without external tanks (one of the requirements for the new helicopter was to be able to close the gap between mainland and Azores).
Having just re-watched “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” ( the one with George Lanzeby 😮 ), I must say I finnaly came to a decision regarding Bond Girls. My fav one has to be Diana Rigg, who starred in that film. For those of you who can’t recall her face, she was Miss Peel in “The Avengers” 😀

Have any difficulties arose from Merlins entering service? As far as i know they were fine with the RAF, but some of you seem less than pleased?
There have been some complaints at the high operating costs, quoted at something like 5000 € per hour of flight. Whenever the EH-101 appears in the press, it gets dubbed as the “Rolls-Royce of the helicopters” :diablo:
In related news, the Portuguese EH-101s have officially entered service yesterday in FAP in the SAR role, replacing the 30-year-old Pumas. 6 SAR, 2 SIFICAP (maritime surveillance) have already been delivered, the 4 Merlins still to arrive will be in a CSAR/Tactical Transport configuration.
Isn’t the USAF doing the opposite thing, increasing the expected number of Raptors at the expense of some future upgrade programs, or at leats it is rumoured ? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong 🙂
1- Goldfinger or Goldeneye
2- maybe the last one…
3- uh, difficult one !
4- Sean Connery followed by Pierce Brosnan
5- an even more difficult question :p

The British have also tested their Starstreak missile against armored targets, with success it seems.
Lol, evangelions?
For example 🙂
Nice, but I’d prefer it anime style 😀
Queens of the Stone Age – Lullabies to Paralyse.
Not quite as good as the previous one Songs for the Deaf ( that would be difficult :p ), but still awesome…
I also liked Franz Ferdinand and Kaiser Chiefs. Greenday too, but their album was released in 2004.
