Thanks Dave!
Will we see you on Sunday?
Interesting. But I am starting to wonder whether there is some kind of guide for journalists that gives the plural of ‘aircraft’ as ‘aircrafts’. It seems to happen more frequently in newspaper articles than it does in everyday speech.
Hopeful bump…
I saw the real Airwolf in May or June 1984 at Van Nuys Airport.
Airwolf was real? Blimey – surprised it wasn’t used more widely by the US Military.
Happy New Year – here’s to great 2014. Laphroig and a Havana here..
Thanks for the informed replies, to clarify there was no ‘suggestion’ in my queston. I am pleased that the big player is Wessex Archaeology, and I agree the rest is speculation.
I trust all was done in accordance with the law? Who are the big players, TA?
Thanks! I’ll call them.
Is it better than none? To state that these ‘crafts’ (sic) flew over Germany to keep the U boats from ‘advancing’. Because they were ‘long haul’.. before all the ‘vessels’ were ‘gunned down’…
I’d say not.
South Africans and Liberators – Warsaw, Balkans, etc?
Actually the Warsaw flights could make a good film..
.. The radios in use were the usual T1154/R1155.
Not in 1937, though..
Yup, spotted that – and amended my link. Up to 1,000hp, apparently.
Brad, if you’re reading this, it’s not too late…
Who said anything about building engines?
Two million would buy him.. oh, I don’t know – something faster lower down. More exclusive. Maybe with twin engines, and a T tail…
I think it’s more likely a made up number. Who would disclose the value of the deal? Is it not more likely a sub-editor has gone ‘Right, someone Google me the cost of a Spitfire – About 2 million? OK, that’ll do’.
Or maybe he has spent 2 million on ‘Spitfire’, not ‘A Spitfire’.. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/news/a400316/angelina-jolie-shocked-at-drunk-brad-pitt.html
