Again, if i was the chap asking the question, with the release of windows 7 tomorrow, id wait until you can get a good deal on a windows 7 pc 🙂 (might as well!)

are you experience with PCs?

if so, id reccomend building your own tower, will be usually 2/3 cheaper than one off the shelf 😀

microsoft reccomend the following

* Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 / Vista
* PC with 1 GHz equivalent or higher processor
* 256 MB of system RAM for Windows XP SP2 / 512 MB Vista
* 14 GB available hard disk space
* DVD-ROM drive
* 32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card required
* Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
* Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
* 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play

Id go with a minimum of 3gb of ram personally, and a decent core two duo

you should be able to get a 512mb graphics card from nvidia or ATI for a good price too 🙂
