    Jet A1 is a non military avaition kerosne that contains only an anti static additive. The risk to anybody using this fuel of presumably unknown provinence and no certification in a flying aircraft is too great.
    I doubt anybody would want to touch. However it will ground run a gas turbine that does not need a militray fuel or power central heating or a run a diesel engine boat or car.

    Pm me if you need to know more or need an outlet for the fuel I might be able to help.

    these were my thoughts entirely 🙂 i said his best bet would be to try and sell it to private collections that ground run aircraft, mainly thinking of XM655 (see if he could donate it :rolleyes: ) who knows, not sure what his plans are 🙂

    i dont think he’s going to dump it lol, but i did tell him that contacting various classic jet groups such as those at brunty would be a good start.

    looked around on googlemaps for potential bases, figured she would go to a civvy base and at a guess thought that finningley might have the space for her? all four of the original Raf hangars look to be intact, and the airport has its own terminal away from the original tech site. seemed perfect to me lol

    there are few (if any) other civillian owned fields, big enough with space to provide cover for a vulcan

    Could be! I’m a co-owner of one of the GWR locomotives based there. We seem to get the BBMF flying over us down there quite a lot too!

    capital job 🙂 i live other side of evesham, been there a few times with one of the oxfordshire MG owners club. i bloody love it! you cant beat the smell and sound of a steam locomotive 😀

    I remember that as an outsider/newbie to the forum, its very easy to misenterpret the humour from some people that post here.

    she came on and defended her project/aircraft.

    i dont blame her for doing so, i also think that people should stop jumping on the bandwagon! as it may put her off posting again???
