🙁 … she deserves a better fate than that!
les im really sorry, i didnt proof read my post i thought i had credited the photographs, ill remove them
apologies once again 🙁
certainly makes for an interesting read, i guess you never forget some things 🙂
cheers
Ben
According to demobbed, there is a cockpit of a VX185 on display at east fortune. she was thenthen converted to the B(1).8 prototype, as she’s the only V serial number canberra on there, so possibly the oldest survivor? 🙂
but not nessacarily flying? to be honest £40 is close to piracy, but im willing to spend it to see her fly 🙂
is it worth me spending the entrance fee to RIAT to see 558? will she be there? 🙂
now then kids, its a pleasant sunday afternoon 😎
you lucky s0d that sounds like a hell of a day!
I could be wrong [i will check my daughters copy] but i think you will find that mention is made that the villians are listining in on the radio frequencys to prevent the good guy’s doing that.
BTW do C-123’s have ejector seats?
yep ur right about the frequencies thing, was that the reason that they crashed a big BA aircraft piloted by chief o’brien? 😀
also 99% sure the C-123 didnt have bang seats fitted, though, would the colombians have made “Modifications” 😀
Windy some!!!
well i jogged along to see XM655 do her stuff today, though i think the wind was gusting up to 30kts at sometimes. she didnt get her nose up, much to my little sisters disappointment, though im not surprised considering the wind. she did seem to start bouncing at one point, and the crew probably decided that losing the steering at that point wouldnt be the best of ideas. anyway a few pictures from the day, videos to follow

dont these last two look like she’s returning from an op? beautiful. a truly magnificent aircraft, well done to all involved in making it happen 🙂
Ben
that is the most amusing thing ive heard in the last 48 hours, just a joke or did they really misread the plans?
obsessive lunatic
well whoever won the rollover might donate a small portion? 🙂 my question is, lets say hypothetically, someone builds this aircraft (as described by mark 12) to airworthy status, would the CAA certify it to fly in this country?….
is that a VTi estate in the backgroud? lol nice project, wish i had a chippie cockpit around 😉
why build a replica?! though i doubt the Caa would ever allow it to fly here, im sure you could fly one in the states, i remember there was a mustang modified with learjet wings (if memory serves) anyone got a few million quid to spare and a late spitfire fuse they want to part with? :diablo: must have been a hell of an aircraft though, the wikipedia for it is fairly amazing

something i found interesting is that, it has a mustang like square ish wing, yet retains the elliptical elevator surface. looks quite peculiar
