Still waiting for confirmation, but it looks like AA have agreed to have WR963 towed down to the pan to “Greet” XV232 so some excellent photograph oppertunities will arise.

We will be cleaning 963 this saturday ready for her first date since her partner (790) left 😀 any help would be most welcome, bring a soft brush and a good sense of humour!

Might I also point out, that 963 will hopefully be open for inspection (subject to a small donation) and crewed on the day 🙂 do come along and see our lady as well as the new one 😀

We cant guarantee that she’ll be open as there are other plans afoot 😉 but I will do my utmost to make her available (like I said, subject to a small donation 😉 )

The Norwegian Air Force museum have announced they will attempt to raise the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G 1 Yellow 3 from the sea floor off the Norwegian coast between May 21st and 23rd. Some excellent video of the wreck is featured on the Vimeo website. The 109 is nose down in the mud with her undercarriage extended, which will make recovery a challenge. Best of luck to all involved…..wish I knew that in Norwegian !
