Hmm that’d be great if Rafales were in it but I doubt it, but we’ll see though. I’d be pretty sure to say Brazilian AMXs will participate, probably F-5s too, I think it’d be safe to sya Venzuelan F-16s will participate, probably Argentinian Mirage IIIs/A-4s, probably Peruvian and French M2Ks, South African Gripens(do they have them yet if not then probably/and/or Cheetahs) and I don’t know what South Africa has.

I don’t know but 1 Exocet is really poor, why can’t it carry more? Is it because it’s too heavy/big?

Peru / Venezuela / Brazil / South Africa / France , Argentine and Uruguay

Does that mean Mig-29s, Mirage 2000s, AMXs, F-5s, Gripens, Rafales(?) etc?

Well because Greece will be friendlier with 4 other countries rather than one. Yes France is pretty reliable etc but there is nothing wrong with the Typhoon.

Just how much is Rafale cheaper than Typhoon?

    wow only 1 Exocet? Even a Mig-29 can carry 2 Yakhnot-Ms and a Flanker can carry 3.

They should’ve stuck with their own AJT even if it was way behind scheduele.

If anything the Hawk is way too overpriced, it costs something like 18-19mn/plane, ridicilous when the Yak-130 costs anywhere from 10-12mn and can do way more than the Hawk, not only it’s supersonic but it’s range and payload are twice as bigger than Hawk’s, it’s also a combat trainer and could be fitted with all kinds of weapons and it’s Russian on top of it.

I don’t see why Greece should switch now from Typhoon to Rafale, there is no need, they are very equal. Politically the Typhoon is better, but militarily they are equal.

I am not so sure about the F-35, Turkey will be getting it too and Greece might get it along with Typhoon.

Or is it the Swedish/Austrian realationship that is kind of deep frozen after the Gripen lost in the tender?

    Well kinda

When Austria went back to SAAB to ask them to keep their Viggens flying till EF came in, they gave them a very high price.

Vietnam needs a better anti shipping and a2a role fighters. Their Flankers should be strictly for that because if Vietnam has anymore disputes it’s the Spartley Islands, and China, Malaysia and Indonesia will be there anytime so there will be other Flankers(lots probably) and Mig-29s and F-18s around there not to mention lots of ships. They should buy lots of R-77s and Yakhnot-Ms I believe with that. Vietnam is friendly enough with India and could upgrade their Flankers to MKI cant they?

I think J-10 should have a great potential on the market. If it costs anywhere under 25-30mn it will be a good plane. Mig-29 cannot compete out there, not only the future of MiG is uncertain but Mig-29 spare parts are running out and there are less and less of those Mig-29s at that AFB. Western hardware is pretty expensive and no one can compete with China with the J-10 and FC-1 in the cost. FC-1 should have a great potential, but I’d still take the J-10 over it.

I am not sure about LCA I think it will be pretty expensive but I love that bird too.

Yes Brazil, India, China and Russia could all work together, Brazil is looking to replace it’s Sao Paulo, India is looking for a new carrier, Russia is too to replace Kuznetsov and China is also on a hunt for a blue water navy with Carriers, some reports showed that PLAN wanted 3 carriers.

They all have a potential. PAK-FA will be navalized, LCA will be navalized, China will probably navalize it’s J-10 or maybe it’s J-XX and Brazil will probably get some plane off the shelf.

remove all the military stuff like guns, hardpoints, radars and all the necessary avioncs and sell them for civilian use, can sell them for a few million on the civilian market.
