 On http://www.rafweb.org/SqnMark043A.htm I have found line type colour pictures however these appear to be missing a lot of detail ie no red white and blue rear marking or no serial number shown. The first aircrafts roundels seem to be the older style and the nose is shown brown/black.
This is making things a little confusing if not interesting.

Cheers so far…My first will be a hurricane bearing the code FT-Y shown in a painting entitled “uneven odds” depicting Carey during BoB 1940 during which he shot down 4x enemy aircraft. If any one knows the serial number that would really help as I cannot make it out on the painting. The kit I will use is a toss up between the revell 1/32 hurricane or the 1/24 airfix kit.The painting shows an all white underside, any advice re the kits or colour would be much appreciated.
The second aircraft I will do is NQ-B as above assuming this is the aircraft he made his first kill in during the battle of France. The kit I will use is the classic airframes 1/48 early hurricane with the 2 blade prop and fabric wings sporting a black and white underside, again any other specific info would be great re markings etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated to make this an accurate project. 🙂
