Rubbish…
They haven’t even started mining it yet. The yield is currently estimated at $300b worth of raw product…..
Erm…that’s $13bn of raw product, slight difference- but easy mistake to make, I guess.
I’ll just ask a few questions:
.
Just one more question…
Will that ‘$592+m Fortress on The Tigris’, aka US Embassy, Baghdad be used for promoting US “cultral and ethnic diversity” in the run-up to a total withdrawl in the medium term, or is it an indicator of a more permanent stay?
Saudi-Arabia-isation of Iraq Act I?

J-8II, J-10 (which is already using WS-10A), JH-7A(which is no longer using Spey, but WS-9).
God Damn!! That WS-10’s soooooooooooooooooooooo good that new Chinese order for 100+ AL-31FNs signed this week should be cancelled immediately.
As for the Raptor, ~40% of titanium (by weight) c/o VSMPO Avisma (Russia).
I don’t see why they can’t share the same radar system or some avionics components.
The Irbis will probably form the core of PAK-FA’s LPI radar (for cost saving) with an inclined active array, but it won’t be the servo/gimballed passive array- for obvious self-defeating reasons, besides it wouldn’t fit.
I’d expect the same FCS, FADEC, similar cockpit etc. Next-gen. AA weapons are awaiting clearance to be revealed, apparently.
Expect more info @ AeroIndia09.
Bird of ill omen, thats what you have become! vive la rafale! or gripen or fulcrum or whatever 😀
USS.
“I have become barry scott’s Side-Car…The Destroyer of Fora…”

Finally, the F-16IN remains a contender for a 126-aircraft order by the Indian air force.
But Lockheed executives acknowledge that the F-16’s lifespan is nearing its end after a long run. Chief executive Robert Stevens told analysts as much during the same presentation, commenting: “I think demand is obviously narrow, but there are 24 countries that fly the airplane. There could be some replenishment or replacement aircraft. It’s a contained universe now on the F-16.”
Super Hornet it is then 😉
YF-23 walkaround:
Scooter, you really have to see a doctor about this rabid F-35 fettish you have- it’s unnerving.
You do understand the IN MiG-29K is a highly evolved MiG-29M?
It is superior to all current Sino-pak fighters, capabilities which will be further enhanced once it gets an AESA.
Stop playing up the ‘J-14/1.42’ as some sort of sino-wonder weapon that justifies the F-35 (and it’s dubious AA capabilities). The PLAAF will always have the numbers, but not the quality- not for at least 2 decades.
The thread was on the merits of each design. So, you can debate which design is better.
There are no merits to either design. If the IN is smart they’ll complement the MiG-29K airwing with X-47B-type (most likely JV/co-developed) VLO broadband stealth UCAV for strike duties.
In the post 2020 timeframe the F-35 will be an expensive & unecessary liability…ask US Navy planners……or read some guy’s avatar signature.
Scooter, I think India should buy the F-35B or F-35C for the Indian Navy. There, I said it. Can I go now?
Hear that Scooter? They’re not laughing with you, they’re laughing at you.
Somebody call a doctor.
We better not tell Scooter..
Yeah, we’ll tell him it’s an F-35 brochure 😉
Check-out the size of the KnAAPO complex from this SSJ footage:
For all i can tell from that, it could be a his lunch menu with picture of veggie salad … 🙂
I see v sharply outward inclined/raked tail-fins & close-coupled engines.
Most interesting of all was Sergei’s description of the aircraft in Pogosyan’s presence, including malo-zametnost (LO).
What better than a patriotic big willy project during harsh economic times?
PAK-FA REVEALED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [00:17] :cool::
