I think the site administrator needs to look at the profanity filters, because I can’t find much wrong with having Bent Waters.

I have no idea, but would I be right in thinking that it is :-

    a) upside down – ie it is the lower half?

    and

    b) it would be a port engine cowling?

Not very good I’m afraid, a few years old, taken on what must have been a broken camera!

Rowan’s BofB won’t run on XP. So I’ve got it, but never been able to get it to work. It is true, however, that although I do have an ME installed PC, I’ve never bothered to load it. My guess is it will work quite well on a lowish spec machine!

CFS3 works okay for me (cant comment on accuracy of any sim) in local mode, but multiplayer will never kick in properly.

IL2-FB does exactly what it says on the in. Bought if after viewing a recommendation here, and I have no problems whatsoever.

Even managed to download the IL2-FBs massive 130-odd mb patch (that is a bit big, you have to admit, and a total nono if you don’t have an hour+ to spare on a 512kb broadband connection).

Knopfler is (or maybe was) the lead singer/guitarist for Dire Straits, a popular 80’s beat combo.

For PhantomII & LesB – posted elsewhere on this forum, but it is still one of my favourites. There were a few shots taken of this moment back at Kemble’s Delta Jets opening day this year:

Though to me I prefer the one of my little daughter in front

Actually, that’s the one I was really looking for, Snapper – YOUR favourite photo out of the ones You took last year.

No need to consider others, this is a purely selfish thing afaiac.

Thanks again, it is certainly in the spirit of what I was asking – ie Your Favourite from Your own pictures (not saying that others arent BTW (before teddies fly)).

For the record, I chose mine because it works on several levels for me: –

A long lazy days late summers afternoon, it has a “golden” feel to it.
A beautiful aircraft being prepared for flight (actually, it stalled on the first attempt)
A youngster being introduced to historic aviation
The picture is actually in focus (for a change)
It looks great, especially as backdrop wallpaper on my PCs

    Keep ’em coming.

I’m glad this isn’t a competition, Mark’s photo simply cannot be beaten. Such a powerful image. Thanks for sharing it.

I’m finding some of these others fascinating too.

As an ex-RAF man, I insist upon there being a NAAFI style van serving sticky buns, bacon butties & weak tea. Nothing else is, well, acceptable!

Arrive in one of the display aircraft.

🙁 B*mm*r – how about arriving with a photograph of a display aircraft with someone else in it? 😀

run from a place in Rugby

That’ll be the atomic clock, I have a radio controlled alarm clock which gets its signal from the same place. I wouldn’t say it was invaluable, but I’ve no reason ever to be late 🙁
