I’m in ’70’s heaven – Lightnings, Phantoms, Victors, Canberras, Vulcans, Jaguars (yes Jaguars – probly from Lossie – ), Harriers & Buccs – ah such memories, such memories.
Only problem was the terrible pay – so much so that some airman’s wives were forced to picket camp gates 🙁
:lol
And Yeovilton on 18th September: –
Branscombe again:
Thanks ever so, Cestrian – more if you have them please, I was “standing guard” over a Lightening! During the show, the pilot sent it vertically upwards well before the end of the runway. And the 4 ship Vulcan take-off was something to be experienced.
Had the 4kb RAM expansion in which I wrote (in machine code) a mini Space Invaders game
:diablo: 😀 :dev2: That was luxurious, I did it in 1K in BASIC with a Sinclair ZX81.
I’ve still got my Acorn Atom
😮 😮 😮
😀
I’m looking for photos of the RAF Finningley Airshow 1973, taken when I was posted there! Great show and much better weather.
rather non-descript Russian thing
A Zorki 4K?
PSP 9 seems to make quite a lot of difference to the quality of my photos.
This is one from Duxford FL 2004 (My DVD should be with me tomorrow).
How’s this – you might still improve it with Paintshop Pro or Photoshop, this is just filtered: –
it produces diffeent quality
Not sure I understand what you mean – it certainly qualifies. Your photos are fine, if a little grainy.
Try using a tool such as Neat Image to reduce noise.
Consider these two images: –
Are the Chinook & Lynx Vintage aircraft?
Also, why don’t you think your Photosmart counts?
Yes, excellent! I think we’re really giving the big camera boys a run for their money here!

Flying Legends Airshow, Duxford 2004
Ordered, but I ended up spending £47 because of this 🙁
Still, I’ll enjoy the Jeeves & Wooster and Lexx vids too.
Yes, the bottom Janie picture must be excluded from the competition. She isn’t “in flight”. Don’t think the A318 is vintage yet, either.
🙂
