Not entirely happy with the Finepix – you can’t blur moving props in sunshine. It’s okay(ish) in that weather though.

Nope, I was further along to the right – on the little hard standing there.

Everyone always forgets the 9th Airforce. They were at Snetterton first, then moved to Boxted, making way for the B17s.

Snetterton is also a motor racing circuit today.

Just bumping this up to save it getting lost at the bottom of the pile before everyone has the chance of a butchers.

Sorry I didn’t make the Vulcan on Sunday, also. I was around – Robbo & Kev found me later – but I was quite tired after a long drive from Plymouth.

That goes for the pub before & after too.

Not bad for a first go with digital Ross – what camera is it?

My favourite is the one with the re-enactment guys in it (first). It might look good in cepia.

All above (& below) taken with my Fuji Finepix S5000 & most with the 1.5 telephoto attachment.

All have been cropped, trimmed and sharpened.

Fortunately the weather was not bright and sunny – why is that good I hear you ask? Well the S5000 has trouble with blurring props in bright sunshine, but it can manage okay in cloudier weather.

Start of the show with all those Spits & Hurri’s taking off in waves, then the tail chases, etc.

Whole thing was worth every penny, plus the roughly £45 in petrol I spent travelling to & from Plymouth, and the leaving at midnight to arrive 10th in the queue at 6.30am, and the not getting home unilt 6.30 this morning (Monday).

I know they don’t have jets by tradition at this show – but perhaps that should be re-assessed now. Fact is Seahawk, Hunter, Vampire, Venom, Gnat & many others are Warbird Legends now, in my view. And a great big :p to those of you who think otherwise 😀

I’m of the 2 minds variety myself, broadband is so cheap now that it can work out cheaper than dialup. Especially with all the other benefits of having an “always on” connection. However, it still isn’t 100% universally available and there may be a few who it isn’t available for yet.

Just thinking back to my days in the RAF – do servicemen have access to telephones and/or computer networks in singles quarters yet?

Perhaps a warning icon on threads containing large numbers of photos would be a better idea than a separate sub-forum. I know many of us try to advise of the content, but there’s no way – at present – to change a thread title unless you’re the owner – and it might be useful to mark a thread with a warning icon if it changes to include a number of photos later.

Also, I limit the size of my photos to about 70k, perhaps others could do likewise. 100k is a bit ott unnecesary really and perhaps webby could reduce the maximum size allowable to about 75k?

I don’t want to see a separate sub-forum unless it’s absolutely necessary – I tend to be a one place type of guy and I’m afraid I’ll miss something 🙁
