Certainly looks like him to me.
So to return to my original question – a Derry Turn & a Derry Roll are the same thing – just spelt differently?
Can someone explain the maneouvre “Derry Roll” is it the same as a “Derry Turn”, where the aircraft rolls inverted to change direction: –
ie begins to turn right, by rolling right, but continues the roll through until it is inverted, then on to in fact, turn left of the original direction by virtue of the continued roll?
If so, I don’t recall seeing this – not that I’ve watched it more than once or twice, it being so disheartening, and certainly not recently.
there is just a part of it they no longer want aircraft using for the time being.
Trust it’s not in the middle – otherwise multiple landings (within the length of the runway) should have been practised after all – not the elimination of same.
😀
Ta – I would have done it in PS Pro, myself, if I could have been bothered !!!
But thanks anyway.
(PS/ That’s more of a statement of my own laziness – hope you dont think I’m having a dig – I know it might look that way).
complete the message field, indeed!
and – sorry it’s so dark
Cant help with that specific aircraft, but: –
No, but I do remember a lecture entitled “How to keep your underwear fresh”, at Swinderby!!!
Brilliant – love the way those props contra-rotate as she comes at you head on!!
Any news on the RNHF’s Sea Hawk? Do we have a date when she might be airtested.
Somewhat off the “airtest” topic, but does anyone have any more news re the forthcoming Chivenor event on 2nd June?
Meanwhile, my favourite piccie is the one Man on the Fence says is his best/favourite of last year. I’ll leave it to him to post it again, if he wants.
Hmm, I’m going to get shouted at if I post a nice lady with her breasts out, aren’t I?
Oh, aircraft!!!
I’m sure there are plenty, featuring all 3!
Try a Hurricane!!
Terence Kelly, in his 2003 book “Nine Lives of a Figher Pilot” also suggests that he went through the sound barrier in a Hurricane.
Pages 89-96 – it’s an Airlife Publication ISBN 1-84037-390-3 – an original copy of which I appear to have!
Wonderful.
I haven’t tried this, but may in future.
How does one go about ensuring the correct colours, and textures?
