Thanks for the replies. So it is indeed a Whitley, does anyone knows if there were more Whitleys in Belgium than the K8985? Someone identified the airfield as Nijvel.
Regrads,
Mathieu.
Are there much differences between the C47 and Li 2? I assume that the Russians use all metric size matirials instead of the emperial stuff that the Americans used.

If you need an engine for your Arado 396, I still have a France licence built Argus 411 engine in my workshop. If I am correct a 411 was the powerplant of the 396.
Gruss,
Mathieu.
And thereby hangs a tale….;)
Still a bit strange that the Gemans painted the Dutch roundel above the fist 2 victory marks while the Dutch used a orange triangle during the time the 2 aircraft were shot down. ( A fokker T.V and a Fokker G.10

Hi Tony,
That fuel coupons must be from Belgium or France as the language on them is France. Do you have any idea to which airfield the flew in the Netherland? Perhaps you have any photos of the arrival?
Regards,
Mathieu.
Not a Restaurant but a Hotelsuite. At Teuge Airfield, the Netherlands.
Is this not the former government aircraft from the DDR that was used by Honnecker?
