However my biggest bug bear is acronyms, our comliance department loves them, I quote, the “RAF must be sent to the HOG for signing before submitting to the RAC”
I know what you mean. In our computer system the word cumulative is abbreviated as… you guessed it, cum. So we get customers and suppliers ringing in asking for our cum, their cum, predicted cum…
I thought they had already tried that with Condor/Thomas Cook. They stopped doing it since Germans refused to fly with an airline they do not know. It’s history happening all over again.

I personally think 2 daily from anywhere to AMS would do quite well but how many flights are there to AMS from GLA daily???
Easyjet 1x daily
KLM 4x daily
Air Scotland 4 x weekly starting august 1st
FlyGlobespan 2 x daily, starting august 19th
seems a bit much. My guess would be that Air Scotland will give up. A 4 times weekly is not sustainable among the daily offers from the competitors.

GSM7201/7202 GLA-AMS-GLA ;arr AMS 10:10 dep AMS 10:45 lt.
GSM7203/7204 GLA-AMS-GLA ;arr AMS 21:55 dep AMS 22:30 lt.
Gonna be stiff competition too! Not only FlyGlobespan, but also KLM, Air Scotland (4 weekly starting august 1st) and easyJet

Hi tenthije, I am also coming to AMS in a few weeks but I will be flying in, any advice on good views from the terminal or within walking distance from it?
Airside there are huge windows that are kept clean quite well.
Landside there is of coruse the observation deck. Free of charge open from 07:00 to 20:00. This is not ideal though as most of the day you will be facing the sun.
Another option is to walk to the taxiway over the A4 (10 or 15 minutes walk, see my website). There you can have most European flights as well as cargoes. Only disadvantage is that it is not always busy. Then you got a busy hour, then a slow hour. This depends on tthe time or day (inbound peak versus outbound peak).
The best option, and only 20 minutes away by bus and walk, is to stand alongside the Kaagbaan. Here views are superb of planes rotating right in front of you. A 747 full frame requires no more then 55mm. Detailed directions at my site.
Also I don’t suppose you know the best way to get to centraal station from the airport? I have booked a hostel near the station so will need to get there at some point. Thanks.
Take the train. It is the fastest and cheapest way. There is a DIRECT service leaving every 10 or 15 minutes. So you won’t have to change as GD1 mentioned.

Woohoooooo!! Look what Transavia is leasing for a few weeks! It will stay as it is for a few weeks, and then return to the US.
