While this is not enough to replace the B737, this order might be a replacement for the Tupolevs. Transaero have three Tu-214s in service with a further seven on order (wikipedia).
Both.
Nice photos as always!
They seem to keep a lot of it rust free although out in the open
I’ve been to Sinsheim & Speyer a few years ago and back then half the collection was rusty. From the photos it looks like a good part of the collection was recently re-painted cause a few years back the planes looked in a very sorry state.
So what are you trying to tell?
Did they put in additional kerosine tanks, or is it stopping at every oil rig on the way? 😀
Is she going to Brazil under her own power? I expected it would be cheaper to airlift it with an Antonov or if it will fit a 747.
Has GLM given up their plans for a Groningen flight?
Nice! You guys are really lucky with your paintshop. A lot of exotic planes being painted there. At my local, Eindhoven, we only seem to get Air Berlin. Occaisionally Air Berlin sends a plane to be painted in the livery of a new operator, or asks for the plane to be completely white. But not often.
Hi … hadn’t heard of that incident,do you know What actually happened ??
While undergoing going maintenace the main gear retracted. The plane ended up with it’s belly on the ground, and a large crack on the fuselage just behind the main passenger door as well as minor bruises all over the forward fuselage. Why the landing gear retracted is not yet known / announced.
Here’s a photo of the incident.

Surprised to see OO-VLE back in the air. I would have expected it to be parted out following the landing gear mishap at Rotterdam earlier this year.
I thought the bird was the word? 😀
Nice photos!
Would a backhander from Sukhoi and/or Tupolev not be more likely?
Does anyone know what night the current TG is repeated on? I missed it last night!
