Good to hear the A380 is going forward. Even better to hear it is China Southern! AMS is one of their biggest European destinations. They fly here every other day with 777s (code share with KLM on the other days) and they also use the 747F to AMS. So chances are I get to see it here!
Boys, have you considered just giving it a rest?

I also hate them for bringing about continual noise regulations which has seen the premature end of many a fine 732, 727 etc. Damn the EU, Im voting UKIP!
You realise of course that this will not bring back the 732s and 727s? After all, the planes still have to fly to….. the EU! So the planes still will have to meet the EU guidelines!
Besides, are you even old enough to vote?

I think the benefit of engine swaps is far overrated. How many airlines operate more than one engine type for a plane? Those that do buy their planes second hand so are highly unlikely to buy the 7E7. Those airlines that can afford the 7E7 make it a point to standardise on one engine type per aircraft type. Preferably even one engine type for various aircraft types.
As the article mentioned the leasing companies are going to appreciate this. No denying there. But how often does a plane change airline? Probably not often enough to warrant the additional costs, since most leasing contracts are long term.
Still, can’t wait to see this plane hit the skies!

The chances of The Vatican winning the world championship football are probably more favourable then the chance of Concorde returning in the air. At least the vatican has god on their side.
You can forget it. Airbus in their infinite wisdom (LOL) has taken away the CoA and have no intentions to recertify the plane.
It’s a bloody shame though to see that G-BOAD has already deteriorated this much. I suppose it was to be expected considering it’s location. What was BA thinking when giving it to a carrier?
Also, what’s the status of the Concorde in the Caribbean? With the recent huricanes, was it affected?

There is a list with the top 100 of airports in the current AW (october 04).
The highest rank has Moscow SVO at 90 followed closely by Berlin Tegel at 93. Those are all the eastern european airports in the list.
