That was a case of having the right format at the right time. The DVD producer needed a “head on” shot of a “Soviet Airliner”. He trawled the usual websites and found mine which fitted the dimensions of your average DVD cover.
I won’t be retiring on the proceeds needless to say. 😀
Weren’t you at the airliners.net AMS meet last week? Cause I noticed someone bragging in the LHS about that photo being on that DVD! 😀

First step I recognised the prop. THerefore it was either a Saab, an ATP, a J-31/41 or an Il-114.
Step two: two cheatlines above eachother. My guess was that you would post a UK airline since those are easiest for you to shoot. Only Eastern fits that description.
Step three: AJJ could easily be read. MAJJ is a plane I once spotted before (still in BA landor back then!) so I had all the information handy.
