Didn’t AW order A321’s a while back?
I don’t believe America West has any A321s on order or in use. Spirit did order a load of A321s and A319s though. Perhaps you are mixing them up?
I think I might well be the only one to actually like the current livery. They should not change it.
of phone calls to ATC that night with noise complaints! :p
I feel very very very sorry for them.
No
I never win a thing, ever.. so I don’t bother
That’s the spirit! Only increases my chances!
brilliant! That fire in the 3rd pic from below, is that the fire crew practising or something more serious?

That’s an exceptional shot! And good news too. Maybe it will already be doing a flyby at next years Paris Air Show.
ooh dear, this thread is back to haunt me. Next time I’ll stick to doing what i am good at, posting pics and not bothering captioning them. π
AMs has a good shop but it may just be models. I was passing through AMS between 10pm and 7am and it was closed π
Your right, AMS terminal has mostly models with a tiny selection of magazines, books, T-shirts and curiosa. The other store has a lot of models too, but really focusses more on books and airfix/revell/hasegawa/etc models.
The crashes merely sped up the proces at TWA and PanAm, canΒ΄t tell for UTA as I do not know much about them. TWA and PanAm alreadly had large financial dificulties and bankruptcy was a matter of time.
It has happened though that a crash leads to a bankruptcy, and not just for small 1-plane airlines. ValueJet came very very close to bankruptcy after a crash that was caused by criminal negligence.
AMS has two, one at the terminal (landside) and one a 15 minute busride away. The latter claims to be the largest in Europe. Don’t know if it is true, but it is huge!
Exceptional shots. That Concorde shot is very good!
Can Italy do that? I’d imagine the EU would be fiercely against this.
hmmm, i did not see this one coming. I was under the impression that Varig was in big financial difficulties. That one of their 777s had even been temporarily impounded at CDG. Is this a sign that they are doing better, or a sign that they are going to be doing even worse.
I like the top one. The 2nd one is a copy of the new KLM livery (since they have already stolen the KLM Cithopper livery, this is the most likely future livery). I also like the 3rd one, but like the 1st one better.
