    It’s also a BA A320-100, CFM-Powered, no-winglets, and dual-overwing exits 😛

Okay, Okay, I get it… lots and lots of mistakes. Does jetlag count as an excuse? 😀

    29) LHR, Aer Lingus B737.
    30) Farnborough, private Global Express. Not part of the display!
    31) LGW, Transaero B737.
    32) LGW, British Airways B737.
    33) LHR, Air China B747.
    34) LHR, Olympic A340.
    35) LHR, British Airways A319. Note the “backing the bid” markings.
    36) LHR, Biman A300. I was hoping for a DC-10 but unfortunately got this.
    37) London, a view over the financial district on the north bank of the Thames.
    38) London, some football stadium. Don’t know which team(s).

Great pictures! What settings did you use for your Tower Bridge picture. The lighting is perfect.

    3 seconds exposure
    focus 5.6
    ISO 100
    9.77mm focal length
    no flash
    2560×1920 pixels

Very cool photos. That Air Atlanta is great! A typical AMS shot, only without the terrible background. Keep ‘m coming!

    SWEET SHOTS!

Having trouble indentifying who you flew with, looks like an V2500 engine – I guess bmi? Old Colours? A320 or A321?

You’re right. Flying to LHR was on A320 G-MIDY and flying to AMS was A321, I believe G-MIDM. Both in the old livery.

Last set, the header bits and pieces describes this best I think.

    21) LHR T5 under construction seen shortly after landing.
    22) LHR T5 under construction seen shortly after take-off.
    23) NL, the way back home I had a nice clear view over NL. Due to the wind the plane took the “touristic route” over the outskirts of Amsterdam with the docks.
    24) NL, ship with ore being unloaded by a crane-ship onto a river barge.
    25) NL, overview of a part of the port.
    26) NL, the “polder” just a minute or 2 prior to touch down at AMS.
    27) London, you can’t visit London without seeing this…..
    28) ….. or this. Both shots where made at night with a long(ish) exposure time.

    11) Farnborough, Airbus A340-600. Smokey landing.
    12) Farnborough, Cathay B747. Taken of from Farn’, 2 fly-by’s and then immediately back to LHR. Judging from the pics so far the SAA display was a lot better.
    13) Farnborough, Korean B737-900. Still in the delivery registration i.s.o. Korean registration.
    14) LGW, Monarch A321. All day overcast so I had to spike up the brightness quite a bit.
    15) LGW, Meridiana A320.
    16) LHR, Virgin Atlantic A340-300.
    17) LHR, American B777. Probably the best shot of the trip. I like the reflections on the belly.
    18) LHR, PIA B747-200. First time I catch the new livery in good light. Still think it is dull.
    19) LHR, ANA B747. Gotta catch ‘m all!
    20) London. BA’s circus attraction (no, not their F/A’s). 15sec exposure time… feeling dizy yet?

    7) 737 alright but wrong airline! 😮
    8) US ok, but not Chicago :p

hmmm, 737 with red nacelles. Either SAS or you’ve been flying hooters while in the states.

i got 5 days worth of backlog from AMS, Farnborough, LGW and LHR. You’ll excuse me if I postpone it till some later date, perhaps… possibly…. eventually. Some photo’s are on their way though, but with close to 2,6gb (yes, gigabyte) to choose from that may take a while to sort out.

The 777-300ER come with winglets, as do the 767-400s. They are however not tilted upwards as much as on other planes. That’s why they are refered to as “raked wingtips”.

    1) B737 from Chicago (midway?)
    2) A330
    3) A319/20/21
    4) A319/20/21 into AMS? (lots of water and terrible water, got to be AMS!)
    5) B757/767
    6) B757/767 same airport as 3)
    7) B737, easyjet
    8) B737, that stadium seems familiar from FS04, but can’t be bothered to fly 40hours hoping to find that stadium again! 🙂 It’s in the US, Chicago again?

probably got most of them wrong

Great shots. Especially the shot of “death row” is interesting. I never knew that EAL had A300s! When did they get them, retire them and where did they fly them too? Also, why did they retire them considering they went from small capacity 732 to huge capacity 742. Would it not have been wiser to stay with the A300?

    Never thought of that LOL

Ok departing Gla to some good European aircraft spotting countries of which can anyone reccomend any apart from Schiphol and also within UK itself
    many thanks

What the f*ck is wrong with Schiphol? (in case you change your mind, take easyJet)

Anyway, I find that BMI offers a lot of good deals. You can get a codeshare to Copenhagen on SAS. Or FlyGlobeSpan to Rome/Barcelona/Prague are all nice fields to go spotting.

It’s quite common. I got a picture of a KLM 744ERF with one missing winglet. At LHR yesterday and today I saw a Air Jamaica with one winglet missing. I have not been able yet to compare registrations, but that probably was the same one as the plane pictured above at MAN.
