….If anything, they would just park the A380’s out there and bus them to T2 as opposed to Bradley like the rest of the planes parked at the remote terminal have done to them….
With the amount of pax and cargo that the average A380 should take, would that not take ages?
great shots! In particular the in-flight shots and the shot of the il62.
No electrical devices are allowed when the fasten-seatbelt signs are lit. Regrettably that includes digital cameras, so during the most interesting bits (take-off/landing) of the flight your camera will have to stay in the bag.
Have just read that they are getting a new Control Tower at Heathrow to be operational in 2006. I guess the old one will be demolished – shame!
Maybe they can convert it into a viewing platform for us enthiousiasts. I know that BAA are highly unlikely to do anything like that, but we can hope right? :p
What level of rent would I be looking at paying for, say, a two bedroom apartment?
This is a real estate agent in Vilvoorde. You may find it to be of use (has some english pages). Tomorrow I may look for more, although I suspect that others will have added to the list already.

Also, remember that your company wants you to move! The least they can do is help you with finding a decent place. If your company is large they probably got a good inside source with real estate agents, social housing agencies and even hotels for in case finding a house/appartment takes a bit long.
When you step into the housing agency you are a number. When a big company steps in on your behalf you are a big customer, with all perks that go with it!
No you do not have to hide your camera. At least, I never had a problem with showing of my camera. You may want to watch out a bit at joint civil/military airports. For instance, in Greece they probably do not want you to take pictures of that cool Corsair while boarding Air Whatsit. 🙂
AMS has to come close to ideal! Lots of widebodies, colourful planes, police officers/officials that understand spotters and most runways are accesible for viewing/photographing.
Singapore Airlines has no Star livery at all.
The Apache is indeed ugly as was mentioned by JC. But then again, the Exige isn’t the prettiest car in the world either by a long shot. I did really love the DB9 they showed though!
And to think, in 2 years we will get it in the rerun on Veronica or whatever they will be called then! LOL
Another strange fact about Holland is that the capital and the place of government aren’t the same, Amsterdam and The Hague respectively. Don’t know of any other country who has that, but there must be more.
South Africa is one.
What is their idea with foreign spotters? Are they going to demand passes from them? Where can I get them? And how will they check it out. Those aviation organizations I know of allow everyone in as long as the contribution is paid. No extensive security checks or anything…
Personally i think that the subtitles should be abolished and put on teletext. Not just those of programs from Belgium but also from England, US, Germany…….
I can bet you they won’t understand. Those westerners are thick as sh!t. During the summer season I more than once have been answered back in German. Some seem to think that my Achterhoek accent is a sign of a German background! In Zeeland it is the worst as during the summer that because a German tourist enclave.
NOT Boston. Either New York of San Fransisco.
You know, I don’t understand the subtitles on Dutch TV of Belgian programs either. I can always follow it. But sometimes I have real difficulties understanding a local talking in Achterhoeks Plat dialect.
Maybe I should move to belgium. Leave the “unisex country”.
