I’d write out a witty response, but I have to be quiet for 2 minutes to commemorate the death of WW2.

    (any excuse will work, no?)

However, the more backward provinces (which are now Eastern-Netherlands and Southern belgium) didn’t want the war.

Backward? What the… The Achterhoek (amongst others) is far from backward. It may be slow, dull, traditional, conservative and boring… it is not backward! 😀

Zelhem, het groene hart van de achterhoek… met natuurlijk Radio Ideaal! LOL

The Netherlands are actually misused. In fact, the Netherlands are both the country it is today AND Belgium

Close, but not entirely. The Netherlands is The Netherlands. The country next to Germany and above Belgium. The combination of The Netherlands and Belgium is called “the low countries”. Add in Luxemburg and you get the BeNeLux.

Just like in Dutch/Flemish where you have “Nederland” and “de lage landen”.

    BTW: the 737 is not a ‘800 but a ‘700.

This means that this lovely livery will be donned for only a short time. Such a waste of money.

Not necessarily. Air Berlin may keep this as a special livery for a bit longer. Who knows. It sure will keep these colours till Farnborough and ILA Berlin are over. So till July 24th or thereabout (F’borough) this livery should be around.

The 717 has already had its eyebrows cut, but the 737 will also get them in due course.

I thought they were getting rid of the eyebrow windows.

Good point. I remember reading that somewhere as well! However, this is not a prototype or something. This is a regular 737 (800 I believe) that will be delivered to Air Berlin shortly.

No, since nobody explains me how to get models if not at eBay, despite asking it several times. I can’t find SN Brussels Airlines or Sabena models, and if I do so, the Belgian flag is on it the wrong way.
Nice models. What was the very first aircraft of Thai?

Try one of the two aviation stores at Schiphol. And if I am not terribly mistaken you can also get them at one of the souvenir stores at BRU. Failing that, fly with SNBA and buy one on board or possibly even on-line at the SNBA site.

    Don’t know the altitude.

The 734 was unidentifiable. Why so I do not know yet. That is being investigated. Either the plane was using the wrong transponder code, or Eurocontrol was given the wrong transponder code by ATC Norway.

We’ll have to wait for the truth to be revealed.

Air Scotland has an ACMI lease with Greece Airways.
