duh, everyone remotely sane has gone to bed! 😀
What’s a sunny delight? (do I even want to know what it is?)
Also, what’s Orange Squash? A game of tennis played in a office cubicle with an orange ball?

and liquor….
…but only in very tiny bottles as that’s all the commercial aviation lads are used too. No wonder so many “bottles” are used aboard airliners.

you know, normally I hate it when this forum closes for a few days due to technical difficulties, but I think right now a database error is the best thing that can happen to this forum.
Everyone needs some time to calm down.
Great report and great pictures!

I don’t know how it’s gonna get there,is it capable to fly??
no, it has clipped wings for starters and their last thorough check has been ages ago. It could be all checked up obviously, but that would be too expensive for the organization owning the trident. They can barely afford the move as it is!

It’s like where-ever you go, not just the U.S. LHR has some pointless security measures, that’s for sure.
definately true. Even at well known spotter paradises as Schiphol you get this approach. Most of the police officers and rent-a-cops know about us, but every now and then you get a new one who sents people away. Does not happen often though, in over 50 visits I have been sent of only twice. Even then, when I returned an hour later I had no problem for the rest of the day.
how will it get there? Lorry or barge? Will it also get its wings extended to their original length as it now has clipped wings.
yeah, not to mention the air to air refuelers in use by the USAF and the RNlAF
i would not be surprised if quite a few of the 742s are to be scrapped.. They are getting rather old and high on cycles. And since the price of a stored 744 isn’t as high as it used to be the 744 is just more appealing.
Nowadays the market for spare parts of the 742 seems to be better, than the market of complete 742s!
KLM 747
Martinair MD11
Transavia 757 (beautiful)
Air Holalnd 757
KLM Cityhopper F50
i think that kind a sums it up for the Netherlands
