does not mean anything that a.net has removed the thread. A.net is, how to put this gently… rather a tad a bad looser. Every reference to JP is almost always removed. Only when someone is complaining about JP does the reference stay in the forums.

I had the same one time when i just had my digi. In a stroke of utter brilliance I deleted half a days worth of photts. Almost 5 hours gone in 5 seconds. Fortunately most of it was Transavia and KLM, but there was also an Air Namibia 747 and a Virgin 747. They are quite rare at Amsterdam!

Everyone makes that mistake at least once! Those that haven’t WILL (or are lying!).

no i mean 200mm in “optical zoom”, and yes i did need the full extent of it. And for the smaller planes up to 300mm would be handy.

The 777 went to Nairobi.

There are indeed excellent places to shot photos at Schiphol. You have already seen my site, another site you can try is http://www.schipholview.nl. They are really informative as well.

My camera has a zoom of 50 to 200mm, or thereabouts. The 3rd shot, the Martinair 747, was done with more by cropping a large resolution photo. It does show though as the quality is less than the others.

Thanks Airline-Owner for your remark. I don’t know where this plane is flying too, not yet anyway. I am looking it up, but the Schiphol website is today even slower than it normally is.

I thought the Beechcraft Starship had variable geometry canards. Does that count?
