Wannabe pilot, I think you are correct! Its probably a S340, the nose is not long enough. Maybe Aurigny??? Its definately not a Dash 8, as it has a low wing, the 3rd line from below should eb the wing.
1 beech 1900
2 CRJ (or gulfstream-4, not 5 since the engines are too small). The nose does not seem to be long enough to be a ERJ.
3 B757-200 – Air 2000 – new livery
4 I first thought ATP/HS748, but Ren Frew changed my mind to the Jetstream. This plane is not long enough to be a ATP/HS748.
5 737 Air Malta?
THIS WILL BE LONG!
My CDG log for yesterday the 4th of October. I shall leave out all B737s and A319/320/321s of Air France. Suffice to say I have seen dozens of them. Unfortunately I did not see the A318, I thought AF had already received one or two of them? Can anyone clarify?
Normally I’d put everything that’s odd to me in bold. Since that would include pretty much every plane that is based at this airport (all AF widebodies and Fokkers, Star Airlines, Aigle Azur, Euralair, Air Post, Blue Line, Axis Airways) I will only put the planes not based at CDG in bold.
I still have not got all pics on my computer. Some have to be done by the photo-shop due to some problems with my reader. I WILL add Air Tahiti Nui, Flash Airlines, Air India and some others later!
Note that some registrations are underlined. These are links to the pic!

me too
I’ll arrive the 23th at +/- 13:00 and leave the 25th at about 13:00 as well. Eurostar to waterloo.
Shall we open a pool?
He who comes closest to guessing when KLM will fly A320s will win something?
My guess is for Oktober 2005.
Fine with me, Paris CDG the 4th! 😀
steve rowell
it’s costing six hundred thousand dollars
DAMN, just for a holiday to a sheep shack (shag?)! That’s just mad. What did they do with the sheep? Give them all a make-over with added sillicones, hair implants and lipposuction? 😀

Yes there are anti-competitive laws. There are also a lot of airlines here. Even with the huge AF/KL/AZ combination there are enough competitors. BA + friends, LH + friends etc.
That’s the main problem in Europe, too many airlines. Its about time some cooperation started here, even though I am not really happy with the deal. I would have prefered a close cooperation (KL/NW style) instead of a full-fletched take over.
dartie
didn’t Alitalia and KLM already have an alliance back in like 1997
There was indeed an alliance. It lasted for only 2 years though. KLM had a fwe grievances, amongst others:
* KLM was promised that AZ would be privatized. This did not occur.
* There were some problems with the airport (Malpensa?) which was brand new at the time. Acces to/from the airport, luggage etc.
The break-up was quite costly too for KLM. They had to pay a hefty fine.
BTW, I was also under the impression that KLM was the oldest airline still operating.
I thought you would, it gets even better though!
I heard/read somewhere that KLM will not loose its “royalty-status” by default. It is all up to the Queen to decide if KLM is to remain royal or not.
In the past a few noteworhtly exceptions have been made. I can remember 2 aviation related:
1] During the time that the Fokker was being sucked dry(-er) by our good friends at DASA, it still had the crown in the logo. The official name was still “Koninklijke Nederlandse Vliegtuigen Fabriek Fokker” (now there’s a mouth full)
2] During the cold war the USAF had a fighter wing stationed at Soesterberg AB. They where there to “protect the queen”. As a token of respect the Queen granted the wing the priviledge of adding Royal to their squadron name and flying a crown.
The squadron has now returned to the USAF. Therefore I am not sure if the squadron is still royal. The Queen can take the priviledge away if she sees fit.
Regrettably I do not know which squadron it is. All I know is that they where based at Soesterberg and flew F15A/Bs. One of their F15s was left here for the RNlAF Museum.
Well done! Both on the pic and the posts!
I don’t know how to get the fast way (right mouse click on a pic and select for background) back, but I can explain the slow way.
First you save the photo you want to use on your computer. Just use the right mouseclick as usual.
Then go to “my computer” and open the folder “configuration”. You will get several icons with which you can change the computers configuration.
Double click on “desktop/monitor” (I am translating from my Dutch system so the name may be slightly different!). A new screen will come up with tabs on the top.
Choose for the tab “background”. Here you can select the picture you just saved!
Actually, Swiss has already been taken! No, not by LH but by BA!!!

BA will also back a financial bail-out for Swiss in the form of a credit facility worth 50m Swiss francs ($37m; £22.4m) which will be secured against the slots. [Swiss will give some of its LHR slots to BA].…Signing up to Oneworld keeps loss-making Swiss independent.
[SWISS] would shed 34 aircraft – one third of its planes – in an effort to save 1.6bn Swiss francs ($1.21bn; £725m).
It said it was dropping one third of its routes to streamline the business, and plans to cease flying to Washington DC, Beijing or Rio de Janeiro…
…[and] 3,000 job cuts in the company’s 9,000 strong workforce.
Swiss racked up a net loss of 333m Swiss francs ($240m; £149m) in the first half of 2002.
But on the + side, one of the Dutch tv stations (either NOS or RTL) reported that the KLM could continue using the K. This dispite them loosing the “royal” by default. Since the KLM is no longer Dutch, they may no longer use the “royal” in their name.
Another idea I just had:
the Netherlands has some very favourable tax laws and quite a few companies are OFFICIALLY Dutch, even though they hardly do anything in the Netherlands. Airbus Industrie for instance is a Dutch NV!
Now what if the new holding company where registered as a Dutch NV. This has 2 advantages. KLM would remain Dutch so they are allowed to use their trade mark. Add to that the tax breaks and… voila… as the Frenchs would say!
