Can we try only once, or are we allowed several entries. Otherwise I’ll wait a few days till I am more sure. Now I think I may have 3.
I have been thinking (yes, that does hurt but is something worth the effort :D):
When the Concordes make their final flight the 24th, will they be towed/taxiing to their hangars? If so, they will be crossing there! This might be an opportunity to make more pics (if you still have frames left after the flyby).
I am not sure if a A322 would be possible. If you stretch the A321 even further, wouldn’t that increase the risk for tail strikes on landing/take-off quite considerably? Unless yu put some tolerances in the computer lowering the angle of attack but that would likely make the A322 slower to climb and thus more noisy for their neighbours.
An shortened A332 would be more feasible (get back to the A310 length fuselage). That might be too heavy though considering that the wings are optimised for long distance = heavier then the older wings of the A300 and in particular the A310.
I think 7(number)7 would be more reocognisable.
Me thinks so too, that’why I think “E“stands for a number. Perhaps a number ending with “ight“. π
i heard they cancelled their 317-316 program. it woudl be too small.
Would not surprise me. The hold-loaders already have to approach the plane at an angle to avoid hitting the engine. Shortening the plane even more would not help!
Please also post a comment to this aircraft!!!
First comment, THAT WAS ABOUT FREAKING TIME! I think a lot of orders where lost, or at least be larger, because of the late arrival of this plane. Airlines like large families so one family can cater for many demands. Air Tran ordering the B737 would be an excellent example.
I don’t think it is a real competitor to the Embraer 170 since it is consicerably larger. It will help making the B712 more attractive though!
Been to KΓΆln/Bonn airport yesterday (21/09/2003). Seen the following planes there. I’d never been there and never seen ANY Hapag Lloyd Express. I only once saw Germanwings so any plane from that airline would have been appreciated. I ended up very lucky indeed, EVERY plane in the HLX fleet was seen and every type Germanwings was seen, including the one with the special livery!

Sorry, those where during my pre-digi time! My father has a (crappy) scanner, so when he leaves the computer I’ll see if I can do one or two, but don’t expect anything of it!
(besides, my father is married to the computer, it would be tomorrow at the earliest providing I can leave work early)
I have been there a few times. The first time I saw a concorde (not counting the Duxford museum) was right here! It was parked before the gate, but the gate was not opening yet.
Since the alarm was not going, I went to the gate and poked my lense through it. I must have filled up a whole role of film, and every shot was worth it! Head on shots, from an angle, close-up of cockpit, close-up of gear you name it! The person in the cockpit was even waving at us through the open window!
Last few times I was there this was no longer necessary. Before the alarm would go of, a police van would appear “asking” us politely to leave IMMEDIATELY.
I nkow a caption for that one:
“BAA introduces latest weapon in its war against spotters.“
Thanks for the change of date! I’m going to Paris CDG the 4th of october!
Also, why does Roger S’s D-AQUI count and my D-AQUI not? I feel left out! π‘ π
Gefeliciteerd Jeroen, nog vele jaren!
Woundsinger, congrats to you to!
Yeah, best place to go watching planes! π

How long before it’s filthy
Where does it fly to? I heard it flies to Dusseldorf? In that case 2 weeks, 3 days, 12 hours and 5 minutes.
If it flies to some dusty destinations (North Africa for instance) I shall give it 1 week, 4 days, 3 hours and 12 minutes at most.
Maybe we should open an official thread for bets. Rounded up to the nearest minute perhaps?
:D:D:D:D
Don’t you worry, I will be making enough pictures to last us all a life time! I just bought myself a new memory stick, 256 mb. If I won’t be able to shoot all planes now, I’ll never be!
Thanks!
Are there going to be additional destinations then? Aer Lingus will retire 17 planes and add 17 planes, so that does not leave much capacity for new destinations? Or am I forgetting something?
Looking at it again it does indeed look like a cross between the BA and the old BOAC bird.
