fair enough
Okay then, I get it. Are air shows allowed, or would that be considered cheating?
Sorry but I don’t quite understand what you want.
Should I vote for something or can I enter my list of planes for the vote?
Damn! I knew I forgot something!
I have also been to Farnborough last year to the air show (bit disappointed dare I say so). And while in airshow mode, last year I have also been to Bigin Hill.
They at least learned from all this. In order to prevent it from being stolen again they removed the #3 engine (see pic posted by Nationwide air). :p
I might have to do that with my bike. Remove the wheels or the pedals or something.
Very nice indeed! I like the Korean one most! You can almost hear it coming in.
Have you considered uploading them at JP.net? And I also wondered, what is SAAL doing at Duxford? Can their runway even handle such a big bird? I seem to recall having heard the difficulty there was getting Concorde in there.
BTW the ARJ is the new(-ish) version of the BAe-146. It is short for Avro Regional Jet.

Edited to add Biggin Hill and Farnborough.
At the Lelystad airshow I have seen a stand of a group that wants to rebuild a Fokker G-1. That would be a good airplane to rebuild. Something odd instead of yet another spit. (don’t get me wrong though, I love spits)
No doubt it has been described somewhere before, but I can’t be bothered to look it up. It is faster to write out anyway!
To upload pictures from your computer to the thread you go to the “Attach file” option below the area where you write your text. Please note the maximum size of 102400 bytes.
You can also post pics from an internet url.

You should ignore the spaces in the above line. Just make one large line. Some websites won’t let you post the largest version of a file. For instance airliners.net and jetphotos.net. You will have to post the preview pic. You can find the url by asking for the properties (right mouseclick).

The ones that aren’t gone yet will keep on flying a while. A retirement date has not been set yet, with the exception for the two beforementioned B733s that are to be replaced by 1 B739.
It is a very safe bet though that they will be replaced by next gen B737s though. Perhaps not as many as they had. Also, I would expect some B73Gs to replace the B733.
It won’t be long term (how can KLM do that, their planes are showing their age and even Ryanair’s and Easyjet’s fleet are younger), medium term is more likely. I expect an announcement in a year or two. Or several small announcement that will pass by almost unnoticed like the last B733-B739 swap.
Please note, I am not an insider. Maybe someone inside KLM can drop a few hints?

Yes, but in a few years when the 737 classics need replacing.Nationwide Air 🙂
Sorry, am I correct in assuming you are talking about the A320 family? I would consider that highly unlikely. KLM has a large fleet of next generation B737s. They are very satisfied with them. They even ordered an additional B739 a few weeks back to replace 2 B733s that will be retired over the year.
At the moment KLM has 13 B738s and 4 (to be 5) B739s. If you add the fleet of 100% daughter Transavia the total becomes 8 B73Gs, 29 B738s and 4 (to be 5) B739s.
I do consider it likely that KLM will order more A330s in a few years time. I think that only a very sweet deal for B7E7s will keep KLM from ordering more.
I don’t think it is a Delta B767-400. Delta does not fly the 764 to Europe because of some regulatory thingy. Only Continental flies the 764 to Europe.
I’d stick with the 763 if I were you! 😀 😉
1. Delta Airlines ; 767-300 ; new colours
2. Northwest Airlines ; DC-10
3. British Airways ; B747-400 ; BA World tails : Column
4. B767-300 ; Air Canada (only one which I am not quite sure about)
They have had “First choise” titles for a few years now. Just check the pic below I added (not my pic). Below the cheatline on the forward fuselage the titles can be found. I believe it has something to do with a travel agency booking many seats on Air 2000?
