Roll out means nothing. The ARJ was roled out a few months ago. But the 787 was rolled out a long time ago. The 787 won’t fly any time soon though since it used fasteners from the local B&Q and the engine nacelles where cardboard. But since it was important for PR reasons to roll out at 07/08/07 (US date notation) they took desperate steps. Who knows if CAAC did something similar with their 717 ARJ.

Plenty of planes that are used as restaurants. At least one that is used as a company canteen (incomplete F100 bought from bankruptcy, posi’d in either Tilburg or Breda). Quite a few planes used as a billboard too, mostly smaller planes such as fighters. Mostly eastern block as they are relatively easily to get.

When your time you will be asked if you want to continue playing. So, yes, you can continue playing. After that the score won’t be kept though.

Would it not be possible to by-pass the legislation by re-certifying the plane to hold fewer passengers thus falling under the less strict legislation that goes with it? I believe this would not be unprecented as Embraer pulled a similar stunt with their ERJ-135 and ERJ-140 which are the pretty much identical planes.
