is it going to fly like this ?
hell no
I spoke to somebody who was after aircraft for chartering aircraft to replicate the Miami Airport Cargo apron – I presume this is what the night work is all about!
So they want to blow up MIA? Why else build a replica? 😉
Could be nice to see I suppose.
James Bond using Virgin? :diablo:
Does that strike you as surprising?
A320
civ aviation forum or non avaition forum (hint)
If you want something bigger than an FB-22 and stay with two engines you’re going to need a completely new engine. That would add considerably to the program cost.
You could use airline engines? Sure the bomber would not be supersonic, but that never stopped the B52 from going on… and on… and on…
It’s a shame it is already complete. This will no doubt mean that the Farnborough exhibit will be this one. Would have prefered an E195 in the colours of something a bit more exotic.
In any case, the I agree with Tommy that the E195 looks bad, as does the E170/175/190. And this livery does not really suit it, the livery looks better on smaller planes.
That’s the code for the Deutsche Rettungswacht, part of the ADAC. Comparable to the English AA/RAC. They have a fleet of planes from cessna’s up to dornier 328s for medevac.
ArkeFly has a A320, but it is white with titles.
Corsair has A330s, but are for now still in the Corsair livery instead of the puke-blue livery.
JetairFly (Belgium) has a A300.
I don’t think there are any A318/319/320/321s in TUI livery.
Finally it happened. First rumour of this happening was a few months ago. Apparantly this is part of the deal that included BMI leasing the 767. According to the rumour mill back then, there will be 2 A321s.
If you download the VNC viewer the timelag is only 6 minutes.
Moving LHR to the Thames Estuary would be silly for the following reasons (there are probably more but let’s start here):
1) The Thames Estuary is already the UK governments last best hope to solve the housing crisis in the greater London area. The area is being developed fast, and large parts are already assigned to be developed into residential and commercial zones. If there where to be a LHR’jr there, it won’t be long before the airport will be restricted in movements to prevents locals from complaining.
2) LHR’jr is to be placed very close to LCY. It may be hard to combine flight paths and holding zones. Not to mention deciding which ATC controls which zone(s). After all, a megahub like LHR’jr will need a lot of airspace to stack the planes. There will likely be an overlap with LCY.
3) LHR is ideally located to cater for the whole of the England, except for Kent (they would have to go through London/M25). Now if the airport where to be moved to Dartford then everyone going to LHR’jr would need to go over the already congested M25 or us the overstretched rail network. Projects like crossrail (direct mainline railline from Abbey Wood to Maidenhead and LHR) are still in its infancy and could be scrapped if the prices increase even more. Doubling the capacity of the Dartford Tunnel would be nice.
4) The flightpath would go over the house of my fomer landlord. They can complain like no other. 😉 (just joking!)
5) I think BA, Virgin and BMI would not quite appreciate having to move. The amount of money they invested in LHR is massive.
6) Speaking of investments, how many billions are being pumped into T5? And there are already plans to refurb LHR central too. Ooh, and did I mention crossrail?
Yeah they are definately both B-2’s and yes the first shot shows the Spirit at a higher altitude than the Eagle.
I guess the B-2 is what the American’s refer to as “Comeing away with the big W” hehehehehe
It is definately not a B-2. The end of a B-2 has more of a seesaw motive. I think that is English, I mean it has more points… euh, check the photo attached for a clearer view of what I am trying to say:
Isn’t that a UAV’s? Not really into the “UAV-scene”. Definately not a B-2.
My guess are for:
1x A330 for commonality with the MRTT tankers
1x Global Express for commonality with the ASTOR surveillance plane
Here are some of my shots, more at my site. Also posted them at the photography forum:
Note the blow up doll in the last window.
The best performance of the day, easily beating the Blue Angels.
I hate to say this, but personally I though Fat Albert put on a more impressive display then the Blue Angels themselves!
I was very surprised that during the Blue Angels display a lot of passes where done over the public. Is this not banned in Europe? In fact, earlier that day a Spanish F18 had been given the red card, and according to the announcer would be punished by having to eat at the mess.
