Is there anyway to fool the CAA that all aeroplanes called Lightings are the same? Is there a chance that we could slip an EE one into the air under a “misunderstanding”? :diablo:

Besides, is a GT40 not a ‘Sports Car’

Ummmm…. Errrrrrrr…. Arse! Caught myself out. It was available as a road legal 2 seater so no arguement really.

I’ve seen a few Gold Leaf Elise(s?) on the road, but Lotus are pretty flexible with their paint schemes. I reckon the 49 had the better lines – the early 70’s cars were quite ugly IMHO.

I also found some pics of the Essex Type 81 – that’s quite nice (and the Esprit that came out at the same time!).

Steve, them’s GT cars not racing cars 🙂 Still achingly beautiful though.

Ford GT40 in Gulf colours for me. Also the Gold Leaf Lotus (49?) – Lotus did an Elise in these colours. In my opinion the the most drool worthy Elise colours ever!

I wouldn’t dare – I got a long hard stare off of SWMBO for putting bearing races in the freezer and the associated brake drums in the oven at Tmax. 😀 😀

I think I did say at the time that she’s lucky that the Dishwasher hadn’t been pressed into service yet.

I’ll check the model number in the morning – It could be 2 things causing mine to fry. Either the monitor (got a purple spot on the top right of the screen) or my PDA (an old Journada) as it locked up when I docked that. I won’t be mentioning that fact to our technical experts…

I think I’m to much of an Engineer at heart – I’m starting to like ’em better with their clothes off and their bits hanging out. Or is it just a male thing? :diablo:

I’m looking forward to the full story – Since I came aboard in June she’s been transformed.

Well done that man, very pleased for you.

Guess what! It just died again! What a bunch of arse. Luckily we’ve got a couple of spare “hot” desks in the office so work can go on…

The state of the Aircraft would suggest that a few more of the crew should have survived?

Bah Humbug. I’ve been here 6 months now.

My New Year’s Resolution is to meet more Forum people (although if things go to plan that may be easier than I ever envisiged!). Still annoyed that I missed Steve Young and Texantomcat at Bruntingthorpe last September.

I’ll be in Norfolk over Christmas so I *might* be available for a social drink. Things are still a little vague…

Maybe Key Publishing should produce titles such as “Trisha Monthly” or “Practical Jerry Springer”. That should cover the GD content :diablo:
