Moggy, im neither busy or other issues.
Fact is….I wouldnt go ringing the RAAF Museum about someones else PRVATE warbird collection.
……Would you ring the RAF Museum about someone else warbird collection?…. i doubt it.
Im asking hence…. as that webpage said there was further remains…. open it to debate, maybe someone knows.
Bellarine, your thoughts are indeed noble, alas in modern era of heated and angry electrons online, i chose to try and seek answers.
Just like everyone else does on these forums, post a query and see if they get any discussion. I dont expect discussions to descend into pits of glooms… if adults cant be adults, that is their choice. Not mine. If gentlemen choose to slag off each other on other forums as people say, maybe that is why i come here to seek more polite discussions.
As i understood from story, Point Cook Museum doesnt own the Spitfires so no point ringing them as you suggested sadly.
Just been updated tonight.
My mate’s Bloodhound missile has been sold to a Australian museum and will be on display next year.
I recall been told the RAAF introduced the Bloodhound to ward off the Russian/Indonesian intrusions into northern Australia via Tu-95 Bears or something in the early 1960s… the CAC Sabre jets couldnt reach the bombers…
The Bloodhounds seemed to work like magic …….alongside the Mirage…..
as the Russians didnt fly as often all across northern Australia afterwards…..
The Bloodhound defended Australia for many years serving along side its personnel in secrecy and silence effectively….
Well actually YES last i heard he was seeking interested parties to maybe buy it in the longer term…. but …..it is in Australia and might be $10,000-$20,000…. cant recall the exact price?
My mate owns an actual Bloodhound missile… might not be what your seeking but thought it might interest 🙂 neverless….
A video of the HARS Cat landing Rathmines at the festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FuyiGQKw_8 Will be nice to see CFML Catalina VH-CAT do this again…at some point.
I own a unused, Royal Australian Navy Sea Venom/ or a RAAF Vampire Mk 1F seat.
Martin Baker didnt know what type it was because of lack of records but it seems to be a Venom 1F type… I sent them the seat information data plate… seems mine is 3rd made.
The seat maybe be on display next year at the HARS airshow in my flightgear display section, along side my Martin Baker H7AFF-4D Phantom II seat.

There is as i recall 3-4 active flying A-4 warbirds in US flying and maybe 4-10 employed as defence training aircraft , soon to be more tanks to NZ donating theirs via their AF…been downgraded.
What will happen to all these US defence training aircraft longer term.. will there be enough spares to remain as warbirds?
The owners of the photos has told me it isnt that airframe and it wasnt 2002.
It was another aircraft, another location in Australia and taken during 2001.
So how can you prove that the aircraft and 2002?
What other proof?
Ok just been sent tonight it seems more photos – Here you go a unknown recovery from within Victoria in 2001.

Anyone got claims for this or know more?
I have today been in further contact with the party who is recovering warbirds and they have promised to me about 5 photos relating to this Spitfire recovery in 2001.
No word yet on their P-43 and P-51 photos… but the owners have said they may consider my request WHEN they are ready to share as i have asked politely….
