How about an apology to me James i think is in order here. You accuse me of stuff and you have stepped over your mark.

You still havent acknowledged why i get emails and SMS from Australian and overseas warbird enthusiasts, owners and groups with information of all kinds.

Today at lunch i got an sms saying 3 Mustangs been rebuilt to fly and the A68 numbers…

If your going down this path of anti and trying to trash everything i do, make sure you apply it to everyone on all forums.
Next time someone posts something i want to see you make them prove their sources too.

I work off many sources as i have a few warbird mates high and low in the warbird industry all around the world.
Many of my mates read many forums and send me notices.
Maybe you are very unaware of this.

    Think it is called “networking”

Most networks tips i get dont always clarify who or where they got their information from for MANY reasons.

How come you dont criticise me when i knew well before others of F-111 movements recently? Because my mates and networking via SMS.

    Hello James

For the record i dont read the Warbirdz forum due to the rudeness of many people there and that is that.

I do have mates tho who pass on tid bits of information via SMS and emails.
That is how i found out.

Please inform Cypher from the warbirdz forum to stop acting immaturely. He would be smart to cease “we want phil back”.
If cypher hadnt been so rude in the past towards me ….maybe i wouldnt left…..

With the price of fitting out reenactors like myself in flying gear extremely expensive either for original or replicated WW2 flight gear , firstly you NEED to find money.

Hint….. in 15years of flight gear collecting and i also run a company selling replicated flightgear, i can tell you yes rich collectors will pay but will a heritage flight in a country slashing its defence budget really listen to a wish list and demands and go out and spend money when it cant?

WW2style and type of flightgear is not possibly deemed safe for operational use in 2011. OHS plays into it.

Wearing it around on display maybe less dangerous but you then need to find safe storage for the gear….

Just checking but with the RAF and MOD cutting budgets just to keep head above water or clouds…. were do you propose they find such money for the heritage flightgear?

Mae West LPU can fetch $1600 US
    C helmets size 3/4 $450 +
    E and H oxygen masks $ 300-1200+

Times that basic equipment by x crws and your looking at a fair expense.

As much as i applaud the ideas, i think the RAF has to defend its operational budget firstly.

My RAAF 2 Sqn book arrived today and it is an exceptional and very revealing insight to the operations in Vietnam using the RAAF Canberra bombers.

I see my bomb/nav mate’s name in the book a few times – so it is very much worth it. Arrived within 2 days of ordering which is speedy.

JDK – no where did i mix things up nor did i misread it.

Im merely passing on what i was told.

I clearly said in the first post that SOMEONE else in Australia has said it was a full scale replica.

The information they supplied to me clearly states FULL scale Mosquito in their email.
Either they got it wrong or others have in supplying him or he has forgotten what scale it was which seems more likely as everyone now says its a 80% scale.

Another person on another forum has said it is a full scale Mossie replica.
So QldSpitty – are you saying its 80% scale Mossie?

A 80% Mustang also flew first time yesterday in QLD.

Another warbird tourism loss to QLD and Australia.

Looks like a blunder and some bungling by the Bligh ALP Government… not stopping the sale “not a training item anymore”….

Another **** up as i see it – sadly nothing new there in Australia’s aviation history of recent years.

Take a look at our airports…
Shame aviation is seen as “nusiance” by governments, yet when there is natural disasters as seen in QLD this year aviation….. is at the forefront and in demand.

Pity like in NSW too, airports keep been sold off and shut down by federal/state and local governments when given the chances.

I will say least 1 new airport is expected to open around Toowoomba soon according to news just released.

Maybe this might bring some warbirds in?
