I sold this item on ebay a couple of weeks ago for £50 The person selling has not even bothered to write their own description and virtually copied my text word for word. :rolleyes:

Not a bad price considering the UK inflation rate has just been announced as 0.2%.

I think exposure is real problem.

Why not take a load to Newark aerojumble.

Unfortunately as a result of a previous ‘misunderstanding’ Newark will not allow Ken to attend Aerojumbles (or at least I’m left with that impression). With regards to airlifting the stuff out you will need several Chinooks! Certainly a good and seizable collection, will look forward to visiting the new museum when it’s up and running.

It’s unfortunate, a lot of American sites won’t ship overseas. They seem to have restrictions in place in exporting military items no matter how antique or useless.

Welcome to the forum Keldrup123, quite a fiesty start to your first post considering the ending of your helpful information. Personally as a member who reads this forum everyday I wouldn’t want Gin de Yaur to stop talking or contributing. From what I’ve seen and read through the years he is a regular contributor to this thread and his contribution is very much valued by all. No one professes to be entirely right but what is important is that people are willing to pool in their knowledge for the benefit of all. The idea of this thread is for people with an interest in grips and yokes to share this knowledge not to discourage others from contributing or ‘talking’ as you politely put it. If there are any corrections or amendments to add to what already has been discussed then feel free to do this in a respectful way.

WOW ! – anyone wanna buy some gauges – going bleep, er, I mean cheap !!!!

Trouble is the post office now intercept radium instruments and stop them being forwarded on. Buyer or sender has to collect from the depot which they have been stopped at which can be a hundred or so miles away. Post office now have detectors to combat radio active items being sent through the post, radio active aircraft instruments are also on their prohibitive list. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ! This can also effect Ebay sales unfortunately.

It certainly did make good money at £2k!!!!

Not a bad price but if it was listed as a ‘Vulcan’ prop blade it would have made more…..
