Thankyou anneorac
Ok thanks for trying!
I’ll pop down, looking through the lists sounds like some good stuff for sale. What time do the gates open and what’s the entry fee?
What type of grips do you have for sale please ?
Thanks for the information and update, if it doesn’t get open that often would be a great opportunity just to see inside such a rare exhibit. My interest is in the Avro Tudors which I believe this was derived from
Is the Avro Ashton going to be open for inspection this Saturday ?
Excuse the pun but this is getting to be such a gripping story!!! Anyhow I digress, some of the Tornado grips on eBay have serial numbers attributed to them, always good to do some research on the internet especially to see if any are ex Gulf war vets. Would be good to have a grip which has flown combat missions.
What I love about eBay is how something is listed as ‘rare’ but the seller doesn’t know what it is! The different scales of rarity also amuse me. What can be more rarer than rare??? Well the next level are items listed as ‘extra rare’ we then go up a grade to items listed as ‘ultra rare’ and finally to the impossible of ‘impossibly rare’. Yes all of these examples are out there in listings and I’m sure you will find more of these meaningless phrases !!
That’s very commendable Bananasplits, well done on the good intentions!
There is quite a bit on the internet if you type in the traders user name.
To be honest with all things considered, he got a less than enthusiastic response, therefore I don’t blame him for not regularly touching base with this thread.
Doesn’t Ken Ward own that Valiant cockpit at the Highland Museum?
I would say that your best bet is to contact either the Highland aviation museum or Brooklands aviation museum, both have Valiant cockpits as part of their exhibits. Contact details are on the net, a quick email to them may pay dividends.
