Well done chaps, excellent improvisation, looks like the PSP took a battering.
Parkhouse Aviation are the new owners.
Wonder where WV798 is off to then?
Jon
Do you know what Jon, it never occured to me to ask, still, I’ll know more in due course as I have offered to help them out.
Went past Lasham today and see the guys trying to get the wing hinge pins off the Sea Hawk.
Tony, you have a PM.
Im disgusted to see that someone has posted a collection of photographs showing the final moments of BEX before she went in 🙁
Some people have no respect at all…
I agree Nash, I have reported it to the Mods on there.
Such awful, awful news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the pilot’s family and friends, and to all at Thunder City.
According to the thread on avcom the aircraft was ZU-BEX, the silver T.5.
Just had a phone call, aircraft confirmed as XS451/ZU-BEX
Having searched further, I have found out that a Competition Winner was to have a flight in the aircraft later this afternoon.
Just been searching around for info, AvCom have a thread running, its painting a very dark picture.

Latest post on PPRUNE, does not look good.
crap:eek: Hope he got out ok! Do they have live seats?
Yes, the seats are live.
Word is that the F 104 will be flying again quite soon ……?? Don’t laugh…it could well be true. It seems that it may well be lifted from its present position by a local Chinook on exercise, and ‘flown’ at low level across the airfield,to a safe storage area, alongside the ‘commercials’ awaiting service.
It’s journey ‘up country’ will take place in the near future.Watch this space……………………………
Sounds like good news for the Starfighter, but be warned, that main u/c is heavily corroded, don’t try and fold it up, or else it might well turn to dust.
Great memories chaps, some great photos too, but does anyone have some shots of Buccaneer XW543 coming in with total hydaulics failure back in 1992? I know James has a video somewhere.
Just seen one of Boscombe’s Andover’s in very close formation with what looked to have been a silver painted PC-9, go straight over the top of the house at about 500ft. Shame the camera is nowhere to hand.
The red and yellow Meteor is WK800, and can now be found at the Boscombe Down Museum.
The black one is WA638, she is still plying her trade with Martin-Bakers, along with WL419, which is not in the video.
