Souldn’t you leave the comments to us Belgians and Belgian experts like me, comet and frankvw:DT that livery is not naturally sabena. sabena always wore blue, and the orange line is invented by SN Brussels Airlines. Sabena’s livery has always been and should be sober. This is too “fantasy”. There was no reason for Sabena to suddenly ad a orange line over it. It would be much better without the disturbing orange line.
The livery is very well designed however, but it would have been very strange to suddenly go to such a new design. Buy the way, the damn swiss wouldn’t allow sabena to do what they want!I have just finished reading a book about the bankruptcy. If someone is interested I will post my conclusion here.

They are owned by British Airways.
    Maybe a D-check? G-DOCB is delivered in 1991, G-DOCR in 1992.

Tax pressure in Belgium is quite high, 21% VAT on Luxury goods and 6% on food. However, Belgium is still cheaper than the UK. Brussels is a nice place, I like to come there. I don’t really know about the traffic congestion there.
Belgium is the country with the highest concentration of highways in Europe. Every “big” (for us belgians) city is connected with eachother. Still traffic is quite chaotic, but where isn’t it?

I say they should just open the window!!! (joke-i know you cant open thw window in mid-flight well you can but very dangerous)

Err, you cant. The pressure prevents that. You can open the A340’s side windows however when flying slower than 220 knots. This is to evacuate eventual smoke form the cockpit.

It works now. The 744 actually landeed after the touchdown zone, doesn’t that mean it has to go around? HELLO use the rudder pal!

Auch! Is that repairable? Looks like the whole fuselage is folded, and the left wing is also totally lost. Probably not.

Lufthansa changed from a 2-3 configuration to 3-3 about a year ago. It’s really cramped then.
FlyMonarch, German is also a main language in Belgium ;).

Don’t Rolls Royce have an own test aircraft?
PW have a 720, but that wing is probably too low and too weak to carry and stand the thrust of such a powerful engine.

There was probably a problem with the APU. Don’t know what.
Did you actually have any good time in Germany? Nice report.

Wow, you can clearly see that the aircraft has only one load; itself and the engines. The engines hang very high above the ground (for a 737).
