    RE: I Give Up !!!

You miss my point totally.Just because there has never been an accident regarding does not mean that it wont happen. The more people how try have a crafty will increase the chances you have to admit.Preventing things before they happen is half of the fight.I have to deal with things like smoking on a daily basis and if that article encourages more people to try smoke in the toilets then it makes life harder for all of us in the aviation industry. As for your point about hoe to fly as 767,that is just rubbish.People cant go out and have i go at it can they ? Where anybody can try have a cig in the toilet.I may have got on my high horse about it however i dont think that i was overeacting as it is a serious problem with the airlines. But at the end of the day we are all entitled to our own opinion.

    RE: I Give Up !!!

Mongu not being funny here but what do you know about this subject ? To start with you say there is no safety risk ? Well before it happens its not normally thought of e.g Sept 11.It takes an incident to make us reailise what is possible.Passengers know that they cant smoke so they dont just put it in the ash tray they try hide it.On more than one occasion ive had them put it in the toilet bin.Now you cant tell me that there is no risk there with a bin full of paper and a cig that has not been put out properly. As for the legal status all boeing aircraft come with the stickers in the toilet because even when you could smoke in the cabin it was not allowed in the toilets however since smoking was stopped thats where people go.Under U.K law if you do not comply with the cabin crews request this is an offence. All passengers are made aware that smoking is not permitted before the aircraft even pushes back. You may feel the subject is trivial however the article is now being looked at by the CAA.

    Airtours:MD83,A320,A321,A330,B757,B767.

    Spanair:B767-300

Also worked on Airtours DC-10.10 and DC10-30 but nobody makes those at the moment.

I think when Keltic says limited service he means in the cabin not where the carrier flys to.

    RE: Mobile Phones

Even if the technology does exist to deal with the problem its not in place at the moment ! The airlines dont say not to use a phone to piss pepole off its for everybodys safety. At the end of the day if your told not to use something on an aircraft then dont. There is a good reason behind everything !!!!

    RE: Charter Airlines

What u have to remember if u go scheduled u pay a lot more anyway. So to upgrade to a charter first class its only a fraction of the price u would pay with BA for example. As for the Mytravel check-in its still the same as the old Airtours one and also the PTV’S are no extra cost. They are standard on all the A330 weather u have xtra legroom or not.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 25-05-02 AT 01:59 PM (GMT)]Thats a very good point. The reason is that last year Airtours holidays and Going Places were in the middle of rebranding to Mytravel and at that point the airline side of things was staying. It was not decided until November 2001 to change the airline as well for the official launch this month.Hope that makes sence ? If not drop me a line.
