Thanks for that. Well at least I know what it’s from now. Just a pitty it’s been
broken in half at some point!

Ah. I see. Does anybody have a photo of what the panel would look like with instuments? Is it possible to work out what Mk it would have come from?

Sorry if this is a silly question but is JayPee an aircraft type, or is it another forum member who might know.

Thanks for that. Well its nice to know that it is indeed from a Lancaster (and probably a MkX).

I will be posting a few other aircraft parts over the next few days that some members might be able to identify. I have had them all for rather a long time, and feel its time to clear the loft out so have stumbled across quite a few things I forgot I had.

Thank you very much for the information. I have had it for a number of years and was never sure if it was Lancaster related. I was given it as the previous owner knew I was interested in Bomber Command as my grandfather was a rear gunner on the Stirling
    and Halifax.

Does anybody have any idea of date? Would it be late war or post war?

This probably will not help a great deal, but might add a little. I have a log book for a chap who was a bomb aimer. He flew ED749 on the 22nd of May 1945 while at 1660
Conversion Unit (his pilot was F/O Claringbull).

He then moved to 617 Squadron.
