It’s so like the “25”, it’s remarkable, the only differences appear to be the rudder and elevator horns. Is this a Duramold design?

Hi All,
Curiosity my dad was in the raf at akrotiri around about 62-66, and I wondered what aircraft would have been there then, I still vividly recall standing with him near the runway watching the jets take off at night.
Anyone any links to what I might have seen as a kid.
Cheers
Jerry

I’m sure it’s not a Pobjoy but more like a Zundapp or Hirth.

Thank you for posting some wonderfully atmospheric photos, especially the lighter types.

I’m thinking Kreuztner as it resembles a single engined Air Coach.

Yes it’s a beautiful book absolutely full of colour photos of mainly light civil types.
My apologies (the reason I did it in grayscale)for using it without permission but I had to come up with something quick to mystify the rest of my anorack friends
I bought it in the Museum at Blenheim NZ and lugged it back as hand baggage. Does Vol 1 contain mainly light civil types as I’ve not seen it?

Try this type.

There is a Farnboro list of which I have a copy somewhere which gives the interchangeability of common parts between RAF types entitled FE family drawings and gives the Drawing number.

I remember seeing this single fin Halifax from the train in about 1958.
