The Breda 44 had Gipsy Six engines or home grown Colombos The caption (I think) says that the Colombo motor is set higher with respect to the lower wing. The thrust lines being the same. This last bit is my addition.

Early Spitfires used 5 spoke wheels up to and including some Mk.9’s then 4 spoke up to and including the Mk.XIV. then 3 spoke wheels came in for the later Mk.s 16’s 18’s and the 20 series. If I recall the three spoke hubs are larger dia than the others. A rough guide.
